Rafe Firman, 28 Dec 2017Maybe too late for HTC after M7 Purple tint, still suck 4ultra pixel M8, and worst M9. Not to... moreI agree with you entirely! and also HTC is not for dumb masses who buy smartphone to look cool. its for the 'quietly brilliant' ones.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2017Old 28nm, week GPUYeah, now we have SD660 but i hope its not too scarce and having same fate as SD652 & 653. Please manufacturer, focus on releasing SD660 device more; for top brand and not just some unknown brand that is not even covered in the tech news.

Had new phones since 2012 and had everything from them and their on line help has been quick and thorough. Phones for our business are humming along brilliantly.

Definitely, absolutely well said: "every year we pretty much hear the same thing about HTC." Plus, regarding the (presumably) U12, it's obviously a positive news (rumour/s), that it will include the (expectable) SD845, dual rear cam setup and "perhaps even a 4K display of some sort." So HTC will finally be (after adopting the 18:9 too) at equal with all the others by incorporating a dual cam setup, and quite innovative too (XZ Premium) by including a 4K display, interesting.

HTC is heading where??? Tombstone maybe???
The earlier launched u11 was a disaster for the price and now the mid range will be the specs.

Even though the bezels on this U11 + model are smaller than other HTC models as of late, said design lookw like the Samsung S7 duo, especially the top and bottom bezels; they seem to be about the same shape and size as both S7 models.

Theres already a brilliant one called the HTC 10, 250USD if you look in the right places new, SD820 and a headphone jack with a high-quality DAC and Oreo on the way, 275 for the U ultra if you need an HTC phablet

HTC lost their way the past few years and have been trying to play catch up since. From pioneering exceptionally made phones, they now offer odd combinations. Their flagship devices are more flags than ships. A flagship should offer an excellent screen (AMOLED or equivalent with Gorilla Glass 5 or more), IP68 rating, a superbly constructed body, latest chipset, at least 4-6GB Ram, a minimum of 128GB internal storage (UFS 2.1 or higher), a removable 3500+ mAh battery, dual-sim capability, a dedicated expandable memory slot. It should also feature the latest software right out of the box. Sigh! Is this going to remain wishful thinking?
