hmp, 30 Dec 2017they nit killing redmi note they just rename it to redmi plusHe mean Xiaomi giving same 2016 Snapdragon 625 chips with merely change in screen ratio from 16:9 to 18:9 & expect India consumer to buy it as 2018 upgrade of Redmi Note 5.

I guess Xiaomi main purpose is to keep the price low, instead of upgrading to Snapdragon 630 & dual lense camera, which can jack up the price.

Then again there are still possibility that Xiaomi may launch another model in next few months.

In Russia this phone selling since Dec 14 with google services. As well as extra cheap 5A.
