When someone says "we have never — and would never — do anything to intentionally ... bla bla bla ......" , you know they are guilty as sin. Very cheap piece of theatrical bravado by Apple.

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2017You mean the $ 30 that is cheaper than having the battery replaced by every other company. Yea... more$79 for a battery is just ridiculous and they only changed it to $29 because they are taking heat. They only stopped overpricing just now and their making it sound like they are doing a big favor. They already made a lot of profit for many years of selling battery replacements at that ridiculous price, stop defending them.

ALPHABOY17, 29 Dec 2017Well HTC,GOOGLE and SONY has a better lifespan. Samsung barely lasts 24 months... Just because your Galaxy phone did not last long it does not mean it applies to everyone. My Note 3 is now 40 months old and it is still works well. I just bought a new battery and armor plus I did a factory reset and now it is as good as new. I think you should take good care of your devices regardless of brand.

and they still want you to spend. They are not getting the point.. What consumers want is to get full performance on their phone regardless of battery life degradation. Let the consumers choose whether they want to replace the battery or not. The performance should never be touched. I'm an iPhone 8 plus user, even though I'm not affected, yet but this is simply Apple BS.

I did have lost interest on OnePlus about that scandal aswell for not being transparency , as OPPO as OnePlus parent should known better than collecting data more than needs as OnePlus is enthusiast company always being controversy and OPPO should know what its subsidiary should do and don't in the first place . One thing please underline it -> " I do like OnePlus and Apple , but when they're not being transparent for a case that was undercover and have a negative effect for their customers or fans , for such times that had to be exposed first by fans/developers/others until they had to do apologize in the end what the part i despise about it and they should know better ."

I got iphone 6s with changed battery since July and i was checking how is the battery life, it says 87%. Every time i am charging the device from under 5% till 100%? So i don't believe to Apple. And my LG G2 still works good with custom rom after this years and the battery life is even better with the original battery from my iPhone(with new original battery) ? If somebody from Apple can explain this to me will be great. My next phone not gonna be iphone 100%!

So first of, i now know the one ho wrote this owns or had own an iphone, second we alllllllll know that most of regular basis Apple users prefer to stick with their devices as regular loyal brand boys than change it for an Android even If that is the better option, they are so blind with the trademark that believes in they totally, third i have i have 4 smartphones and I run benchmarks at any given time and they run as fast as the first day i take them out of the box even the older one that is 3 years old, so before we judge something i guess we should leave stereotypes at home, 'cause at the end of the they, the handsets wich are slowing down -by it's own company- are the Iphones not the Androids.

Your statement about firms not intentionally owing down devices doesn't apply to crapple,if you have spent ten years with crapple, have everything ,music, photos, data, emails, etc etc stuck behind crapples garden walls, your very likely to just give in and buy another crapple device, you only have three choices, stick with crapple, swap everything over from crapple to Google or just say sod it and lose the lot..
Not many long term crapple users swap over to Google's offerings, and many cannot because their firms insist on crapple hardware and services..
