They are slowing down old iphones to force the users to buy a new model and sending some crappy 200 900 mb upadates to old model iphones which is having 512 mb ram. Its likes installing win 10 on pentium 4 cpu hahahaha
It is 100% defect, to put cheap ass batteries in their flagships phone which can't sustain charge after few years is absolutely unacceptable, Apple should pay for this and pay harshly, how can you buy phone knowing that eventually it will slow down purposely?????

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2017all apple products become trashy after steve jobs passed awayI agree with you, the iPhone remove the 3.5mm jack is only a marketing challenge to 3.5mm jack markets, it seem they fail to bring out a practical new feature but more to ruin the user experience.
Going from tax evasion to the security problems with root access to dishonest and damaging hidden practices seems like apple's reputation should have taken a hit over the past year or two but I don't think it really matters what Apple do, some people aren't smart enough to vote with there wallets or realise they need to influence change in the industry by not supporting bad practices.
Something tells me apple will release a new phone soon, call it magical for copying features seen in androids for a year or two and the Apple crowd will lose their collective stuff and buy them in droves as usual. I bought an Apple Ipad pro (the new one) 12.9 inch with 256gb storage for my girlfriend for xmas, cost a pretty penny and comes with a crappy slow charger (proprietary tech and overpriced components to get a decent speed charge as usual with crapple) but if they start hampering it's battery in the future too then I'll never buy an Apple device again.

If I am spending 700$ for a phone, it should work as I desire and not as Apple desires
Apple should be providing free battery replacement to all IPhones and not charge $29
They must be still earning profit by selling these batteries for 29$
Alien , 30 Dec 2017I really fail to understand what's all the fuss about Apple products..
Extremely limited os,... moreYou fail to understand that millions of other people appreciate the well-designed simplicity of iOS, which works for them out of the box and makes their lives easier.
But guess what? Nobody cares what you think. You can like whatever phone you want and buy whatever phone you like and can afford. How would you like it if there were a throng of trolls calling everyone who said they liked Android a "sweaty-palms nerd" or "stupid" or "ugly"?
I use both Android and iOS and I find them rather similar. Many iOS apps are better designed and I personally find iOS sleeker. The iPhone X is the best phone I've ever had. I also have a Pixel 2 for work and I like it too, but not quite as much.
A Message to Our Customers about iPhone Batteries and Performance
WeÂ’ve been hearing feedback from our customers about the way we handle performance for iPhones with older batteries and how we have communicated that process. We know that some of you feel Apple has let you down. We apologize. ThereÂ’s been a lot of misunderstanding about this issue, so we would like to clarify and let you know about some changes weÂ’re making.
First and foremost, we have never — and would never — do anything to intentionally shorten the life of any Apple product, or degrade the user experience to drive customer upgrades. Our goal has always been to create products that our customers love, and making iPhones last as long as possible is an important part of that.
I just feel that users should have been aware of this. They also should have had the choice/alternatives, like new battery or new iPhone. Of course not all users may have been effected by this but still a considerable amount of users may have faced it. Iphones are definitely great devices for what they do, how well they are built and how smooth they are. And this is coming from a happy Note 4 user(Samsung).
Alien , 30 Dec 2017I really fail to understand what's all the fuss about Apple products.. Extremely limited os,... moreIt all come down to fanboyism. Once a fan always a fan. This is changing slowly though. But some still believe iOS is secure than Android or Android still lags compared to iOS. Then there are some who want to flaunt costly gadgets to create first impression. Apple's amajority consumer base belongs to these 3 category, there are only few informed buyers who buy iPhone due to different priorities or simply not caring for customization or have invested in their closed ecosystem with other gadgets.
This is only for iphones? Where are all the ipad lawsuits? Ipads were slowed down as well
