Anonymous, 31 Dec 2017So why NOT Sony??Because basically, their phones are near stock already.
And they're the only Android OEM with a somewhat heavy skin on top of Android yet still releases updates quickly.
My main reason for wanting Android One version of every Android flagship smartphones other than Sony is for faster updates. Just look at how much Samsung is struggling to release Oreo on their main flagship.
At CES 2018, Sony will announce the Xperia XA2 series with Android 8.0 Oreo while the Note 8 will just start receiving the update (with not really too much changes or improvements).

It's been almost a day since I got the Oreo update. Too early to tell, but the experience is a mixed bag. Though there are subtle welcome changes, I am yet to enjoy the features, such as Picture-in-Picture. It simply doesn't work for me. I verified that YouTube is in the list for this feature, but can't get it work. The Recent Apps list didn't get populated. Had to restart the phone two times. It's working now. And, finally, apps take a wee bit more time to load.
in new update there is some calling issue.
i have a jio sim..but with that i can't call..i have 2 restart phone after some time.

lots of issues-
1- sound output reduced drastically
2- pip does not work properly
3- no icone shape change option in launcher settings
4- lots of ui bugs here and there
and all that after a month long beta testing

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2017So why NOT Sony??They already had oreo even before pixel . And the skin is light and almost stock like with some useful added feature.
With oreo it charges little faster but can't be called fast charging.

I previously owned a mi4i and my sister owns redmi 3s prime. You might be talking abt miui updates. Its just cosmetic changes and also made my mi4i hell. Check miui forums to see the bugs camera focus issue, heating issue, folder animation lags, and not even a single android update
I have stopped updating after miui7. Everything gets worse after that. Then whats the use of so called updates.
