But XA1 comes with borderless design that leaves the frame barely visible. Is this phone could be true as XA series?

Lack of product knowledge, the critics can only go after the bezels or boast about their brand of phone.
Honestly I got my XZp from UK and the FPS is working
So it's working everywhere except US of A
That's neither my first Sony nor my last

You people ar... moreI have been buying the international version from the Z high-end flagships until now the X high-end flagships and I'm glad I don't have to do anything to enable the fingerprint sensor :). And also, somehow I feel like the back looks like my 4 year old XPERIA SP, except the change of position for the flash and the addition of the fingerprint sensor on the back. They really need to trim down the bezels still, though
vrvly, 02 Jan 2018Not enabling fingerprints, even if it would mean higher price. Shame on them, and they want to... moreBecause the location is very unique. Besides, enabling it isn't even that hard.
You people are overreacting on small issues that can be solved easily.

I like the idea that bezels can define a smartphone. I mean, it's just stupidly funny.
LG also has phones with slim bezels yet they struggle just as much as Sony does. Now what?

It's the reason why the XZ has a much better camera than the Z5 despite having the same exact sensor.
Anonymous, 02 Jan 2018It‘s early predecessor, the M4 Aqua, had a really bad cameraReally? Bad camera? Oh well here we go again.
I have seen its camera samples and they're not bad. Since 2014 and on, we never really had a phone that we can consider as "bad camera phone."

And yes, Sony has always been making great cameras. People just like to talk bad and make them look bad.
Just look at the ridiculous replies here to me lately.

Remember, Sony hasn't even put an OIS there (now they will do it on their flagship this year, as well as on the main camera).
Habib Briziek, 02 Jan 20182018 King of bezel strong contender!
Ladies & gentlemen brace yourself...Also the selfie master.
Embrace yourself people, the front camera on this phone will beat most of the main cameras of flagships in 2018.

and s... moreThen be it. Sony will stick to their practical and elegant design to stay unique and be original.
It doesn't make a phone better than others if it has smaller bezels.
XZ Premium has the largest bezels on a flagship phone of 2017, but nothing can match its 4K HDR that looks centuries ahead of the others.
no fanboyism, 02 Jan 2018yeah. those many many replies won't make people to buy more xperiasAs if not replying will make them do so.

Tech Trinkets of YouTube lives in there, and his Xperias have their fp scanners disabled.

Yann, 02 Jan 2018Try to unlock fast your phone when is laying on the desk or table. On the back is imposibble.... moreIt's not impossible. I can just, you know, slide my finger on the rear FPS and gently put the phone back down. Would take me less than a second. And most of the time, I hold my phone anyway, and my finger falls naturally on the rear FPS. But hey, everyone got their own opinion.
