That's ridiculous pricing for a phone with no 4K recording, no OIS and with Nougat still in 2018?? Even the processor is very slow. Better buy last years S8 or go for Mi Mix 2 or Oneplus 5T

So that's $705 Canadian, which means add at least $100 for no reason, and it'll be around $800-850. Be a no brainer purchase for me if it had fully functional Bixby, but apparently Bixby is gimped and doesn't have voice capabilities.

$565 is way too much. But I think Korean prices tend to be higher than everywhere else, as I saw for J5 and J7 2017.

I'll never buy a phone at launch or via preorder. That's the benefit of android, prices are bound to drop within the next few months.

The price is for a premium product from a valuable brand. If you don't like there are to many option out there from China. If you want the best you pay for it.

The A8's body reminds me of the LG G6. I am glad it appears to come with a headphone jack. With any luck readers will be able to check out a GSM Arena review of one of these.

It’s pretty pricey tbh. At $565 which translates into ₱28,000 in the phil, you can get an affordable flagship or discounted ones. Not that its not worth it considering the quality and specs you are getting but hey just wait for a few months and the price of S8 will be more or less the same as the A8 which is the better bet among the two.

Would have been great if price was even lower.
At $565, it is in the league of devices that come with significantly better hardwares.

$300-$350 would be about right for this, maybe even a great deal too.

Better off with S7 Edge at $450. This is just a rip off. Especially when there is no OIS. My 2016 A7 has OIS. How could the A series for 2017 and 2018 miss OIS!!!

If this is the price of the smaller model what about the plus model? The pricing is surely off and that means the S9 will be more expensive that what the Note 8 launched for.

At this point people might begin to look elsewhere because Android fans are not like the Apple Sheeple. We constantly looking for value. Being a Samsung user for a decade makes me disappointed about such pricing.

Samsung really need to work on the pricing. Their A8 (2018) is price similarly to older flagship like S8 & S7 which all would get price cut this year with appearance of S9. What idiot would buy this?

Even more expensive than a soon-to-be-a-year-old Sammy s8 which has better value. Even right here in gsm's buyer's guide, $500-$600 and $600+ are flagship pricings. Mi series and OP T have better values than this overpriced MID-RANGE.
