Keep in mind, 8k at 88 inches equal 4k at 44 inches in sharpness or image performance in general....
full hd for phones,4k for laptops and 8k for televisions this make sense and 4k for phones with VR
8K in 88" panel make sense, not to mentioned, camera already recording 9K to 16K and it bound to become norm, so a Kickstart product like this is really needed
Okay, but no matter what, it is simply amazing! & so absolutely well done to LG.
Anonymous, 02 Jan 2018Are these OLED screens prone to screen burn, dimmer and produce saurated images like those on ... moreOled tvs do not reach 800, 900 or 1200 nits.
Because they are in indoor places.
No punchy colors like s7 screen.
Finally LG made a wonderful job. 8K is something great innovation in 2018.
Anonymous, 02 Jan 2018Sammyboys will say it is gimmick. Then if they bring 8K qled it will be useful. I'm kinda Sammyboy and I think this TV is awesome piece of tech. Don't hate m8, nearly everyone here knows it's all about ppi density, so 88inch with 8K make sense. And as for TV market, LG is in the lead so I'm sure it's going to be quality wise too. Have a nice day
Are these OLED screens prone to screen burn, dimmer and produce saurated images like those on phones?
If yes, how are they better compared to LED TV's?.
What about their prices/cost and durability?

Then if they bring 8K qled it will be useful. like apple will say: you dont need a 8K for 5000 dolars, you need 1080p for 19000 dolars.
Its the apple brain talking...but sammy will follow LG soon. But LG is better in anyway: Better price vs quality, better support, better components.
Its extreme. Wait for the samsungÂ’s version and it will become useful. Just kidding. 4k is enough.
Anna, 02 Jan 2018This is becoming ridiculous. Maybe in cinema can see the difference in 8kTokyo Olimpics will be recorded in 8K.
Sammyboys will say it is gimmick.
Then if they bring 8K qled it will be useful.
