I actually like this. With the XA2 design, I think they moved it to the back 1. to have slim side bezels 2. to allow it in the USA. Then, they had to move the camera there, so that it doesn‘t look as odd as the Pixel 1. The rest stays about the same, with the bezels reduced while keeping the 16:9. I think the new back design doesn‘t quite look as classy as the one since Z1 (camera in left corner, flash below), but it is more functional, also to make the front more modern, and it also reminds me of the times of Xperia U and such, especially the L2 with its curved back.
Am I the only, who doesn't care about the bezels? But the thickness of these phones are real :/
The phones are thick... I want a thin phone with great camera and chipset. This has it all, except the thickness of the phone is too much. It might become similar to the old feature phones...
Holy bezels, Batman! Did someone forget to pass on the 2015 memo to Sony?

XA2 not more than 300€
L2 not more than 200€
So they are not at any flagship price
With SD 630 4GB for the XA2 ultra dual front facing camera with face and motion detection, rear 16MP camera , good building quality , 4000 mah & 64 GB memory plus SD card
This is really awesome in this price range

Dear GSM Arena: please review this model when and if time permits.
Anonymous, 02 Jan 2018OP5 has oled, thinner than LCD. ye, so you rather have a tiny battery with a screen bleeding old tech screen but paying as much as a flagship phone.
It just tells you how sony rips people off.
Take the oneplus 5T in example. It's a 4y old company and it sells more devices than sony ever did since the T2 era
MarcioR, 02 Jan 2018These phones are really thick and they pack such a tiny battery. The oneplus 5T is 7.3mm thick... moreBig batteries are always better. But don't use the OnePlus 5T as an example (It sets the bar too low......)
Use these instead:
1) Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) has a 5000 mAh battery in a 7.9 mm thick body.
2) Gionee Marathon M5 has a 6020 mAh battery in a 8.6 mm thick body.
Clearly, the current smartphones could have done better.....
Everyone might be complaining that they're sticking with their dated signature design, but the great news here is that they're getting rid of MediaTek SoCs, hope this is true.
Netfreak0201, 02 Jan 2018Almost same side bezels..then why back side mounted fingerprint scanner..seams fakeBecause the 2017 version dont have.
XA1+ is not totally edge to edge like XA1.
sony hitting the gym lately? so thick! it better have 10,000 mah battry in it.
If thats it...nice midrangers, more looped back and front than before...
looks quite classy....
FP on the back tho...no.
But heck, there are almost no side bezel, so guess its the only place to be.
