So now LG wants to help Google collect more data from their own customers. Doesn't Google and Facebook already have enough data. How much data mining is enough for Google or Facebook to sell us shirts and shoes? This is creepy.
Why anyone would bother to compete with Google's AI / assistant / Deep Learning algorithms is beyond me.
Stick with hardware, embrace Google's dominant intelligence.
(And for all you scaremongerers who believe organisations are 'spying' on them for reasons other than direct marketing, unless you have something to hide, you're delusional.)
I'd like to see the day someone makes a assistant as good as Google's.
Too bad LG still uses IPS for their LED line while others are using VA panels. OLED is too expensive and it doesn't come in all sizes
"The TVs will also include LG's new α (Alpha) 9 intelligent processor for improved image quality" should have been the headline.
AnonD-580901, 04 Jan 2018Smart tvs are another way for the USA deep state to spy on the world (NSA/CIA)You think you are innocently watching TV.. But the TV itself is what is watching YOU. FBI NSA DEA you name it all collecting and processing even the couch potato. They want to keep tabs even on your watermelon head

I love my smart home. :)

Hopefully it's better done than on the Nvidia Shied, which does not hear voice commands most of the time and when it does, usually understands them incorrectly. Siri on Apple TV is much better from my experience.
Customer: bought a new LG TV*
LG saleslady: ThinQ for buying, please come again.
