Anonymous, 18 Jul 2011and yet everyone was slating samsung for not supporting handsets with firmware updatesYou wouldn't say this if you'd owned a wave.no doubt Samsung is supporting their android devices but it is also true that they're neglecting their own bada platform.anyways wave is gonna be my last samsung phone.

DrakPack, 18 Jul 2011The Galaxy S i9000. The worst phone I have ever owned! Its buggy , its not very responsive whe... moreI've got the samsung galaxy s2 and it works really fast. Great response time and internet browsing. Only problem is the battery gets hot and it turns off any applications. I have the iphone 4 and its so far pretty good too. If there was a choice between the Iphone 4 and samsung s2 I wouldn't want to choose. The iphone 4 or 5 is alright but when JB its fabulous!
if samsung keep doing this...
(great updates,news,supports etc.)
i wont be surprise if some loyal htc/motorola/lg user will prefer samsung....

The Galaxy S i9000. The worst phone I have ever owned! Its buggy , its not very responsive when loading an application , its music player loudness is about 75% of my old iphone 3g. And Im not sure whats happened to 2.3. I updated it from Eclair to Froyo some time ago , and I dont know if its Google , Samsung or my network carrier Optus but no 2.3 and now they are saying we will get 2.34. That is a Joke! Sure its a better web experience with flash but what about all the rest! I will probably go back to an iPhone 5 at leat you get a quality handset , the support is there via the apple store , and you get uniform updates! Im over this phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Q8cavalry, 17 Jul 2011Samsung rules! No other competitors make that much of updatesHTC
we all know it with our phones and older phones called video calling all apple did was rename it as facetime and people are amazed i guess its just a fact that people dont use video calling so they dont know about it...
Anonymous, 17 Jul 2011apple makes start and everyone sheepingly follow. where is innovation. First android tab now f... moreget real i and others on here had a cellphone with forward facing video calls years ago...before the iphone was born fool..ps you did not need wifi to use it.....it beats me why all the others do not sue apple for stealing there tech and ideas...........
The 2.3.4 version is already available in www.samfirmware.com I've made it real on a lot of phones. I work in a phone repair center in Latvia.
Though,if you have the new version of boot, you will not be able to update it via flashing it. If you have the new boot, you will have to re-assemble,solder to the JTAG pins, downgrade the boot. Only then you could make the updete real. If you already have the old version of boot (you can check it out by trying to enter the download mode "VOL DOWN, Central button,Power button" and if you'll get the DOWNLOAD MODE picture),you're free to update it. Update will upgrade you're boot,so you wont be able to flash it again (only if you downgrade you're boot).
Feel free to flash.
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU KILL YOUR PHONE!
