this is 2018 ffs its the future. I want flying cars and holograms and all that jazz, and phones that dont look like something out of 2015..

I'm also completely and totally dissapointed due to the fact that people like you gave the green light to companies like Samsung to stop competing.
There was a time that Samsung first was putting features which where to be used 1-2 years after the fact. Features that mattered , like extra ram that allowed more apps in the background, removable batteries that are over 3000 mah, IR.
And these days it's almost completely opposite. Same processor for 2 consecutive years , same ram and resolution for 3 consecutive years (S6 edge+ had 4GB of RAM, S6 was 1440p), all made sense to upgrade (better gaming and photo editing - no loading between apps as they would had been preloaded - proper resolution for netflix VR and similar).
In fact they have *less* features than ever (no IR, no replaceable battery). All bling, and no brains ... and am I supposed to like *that*?
Thanks but no thanks. Apple is at least trying (she didn't used to). Android makers don't have to mimic her (like they used to), merely take her attitude (putting everything that is best to my flagship).
Obviously it's an unlikable company btw (jailed OS, battery scam, etc), but I'm afraid android makers only mimicked the bad things from her, none of the good stuff (active biometrics, trully edge to edge screen, continuously evolving SoC)...
My phone carrier sells those tempered phone screen protectors for $60, more than an otterbox case lmao.

That's the most airheaded comment I've ... moreOMFG, Apple spinsters are now trying to sell the intrusive NOTCH as a great and helpful feature? The stupid and confusing gestures as great? You forgot to praise Apple for "saving batteries" by making owners of one year old phones throw them out because they start to lag too much. :D
Looks really nice but I'm waiting for Sony's new Mirai Design with slimmer bezels.
Hopefully they will be more relevant and appreciated now with a more modern design.
keep this protector inside the phone box i mean you should provide good quality gaurd with mobile

No need of stupid 18:9
Mate 10 is better than Mate 10
AnonD-728258, 06 Jan 2018Can have the Galaxy 9 the fingerprint scanner in the screen? While Samsung is still trying (and failing) to put the sensor underscreen other completely sidestepped the problem by having a much more futuristic safe and practical way too unlock your phone. Lol, the Koreans lost it.
Can have the Galaxy 9 the fingerprint scanner in the screen?
Ishit fanboy, 05 Jan 2018That ugly looking notch is better than Samsung somebezel design?? Get a brain man!So having a brain is buying a phone for looks? Really? That's the most airheaded comment I've read here.
Never said that notch isn't ugly btw, always agree with that. It's just irrelevant, I don't buy my phones to look at them, looks get old really fast anyway. I get them for practicality, and having a dumb bezel all the way across the top of the phone is not practical.
It's typical Samsung's mentality "all bling and no function" , a bit like the curved edges of theirs, completely cosmetic, completely useless that are actually getting *away* from the phone's functionality, yet they're there gen after gen.
FOH, 05 Jan 20181. Xiaomi's Mi Mix had a humongous bottom bezel making the bezels ridiculously unbalanced and ... more1) Nope BtR champ
2) Never said that notch isn't ugly, I said that it is useful. By comparison bezels is better looking *and* useless. It's like a woman that all she cares about is looks. Prefer Apple's angle, it's practical. Samsung is too "airheaded" these days
3) Samsung's BtR is not top and even that is "won" through cheating (curved edges). Given that curved edges can't really be used yet increase the BtR regardless, I count Samsung phones as having less than 80%, which is mediocre at this point (plenty o phones w *actual* 80%+)

AnonD-711468, 05 Jan 2018Nobody says that Samsung's bezels are slim. Xiaomi's were slimmer and it's more than 1 year ol... more1. Xiaomi's Mi Mix had a humongous bottom bezel making the bezels ridiculously unbalanced and tbh quite ugly. It also forced the camera to move to the bottom bezel which is just...bad. So to say their bezels were slimmer whilst the bottom bezel was like that, is kinda like lying to yourself.
2. Whilst the iPhone X doesn't have a forehead or a chin the side bezels being the same as the rest of the bezel makes it look like an absolute toy. Also, just stop with the notch praise, it will never be better than normal bezles, full stop.
3. Samsung is definitely not losing the bezel war, StB ratio just proves you wrong, however I personally believe that the V30 has THE best implementation of bezels. They're even. The screen is curved perfectly, not too much but not flat. And irl they look slimmer than Samsung's on all 4 sides...even in pictures I think they do, but I guess that's just me.
Bored and laggy

S9 is an incremental update over the S8, but significant update over the S7. Similarly, S8 was an incremental update over the S7, but big update over the S6. S10 will also follow that trend I think.

[deleted post]I agree whole heartedly
At first I thought I like that notch concept.
Now it's been around for a while it looks like a nasty compromise. Especially with Apps that just can't handle them (Instagram).
Besides - those S9 bezels look as thin as the overall bezel around the sides and bottom of the iphoneX.
