an advanced AI that can make me smile when I am so sad because of the crap device
Definitely first underscreen fingerprint scanner. Sounds really futuristic and innovative, safe space for touching it at the back or front and saves worrying about screen estate. Second, more oled screens, to give more competition for already perfect Samsung amoled screens, but competition never hurts, at last maybe people will realize that LCD are the thing of the past, with horrible washed out colors and terrible contrast(talking specifically about low end and mid range tiers phones) will see some colours and real contrast at least once in their miserable lifes :))
None of the above. Definitely the most anticipated feature is flex screen... a phone that flips to become a tablet.

I'm most excited about project Treble being mandatory on any phone that launches with Oreo and gives the capability to run a generic AOSP build (and potentially many other software that passes the same compatibility tests) on any phone.
It will finally streamline firmware development and free up most of the time an OEM spends developing a ROM update, meaning: Budget phones will likely be kept updated (whether officially or unofficially), updates will be much quicker, there will be much more time and resources for developing software instead of constantly backporting and testing software for each model an OEM releases, and almost all cheap Chinese imports will now be able to run a normal branch of Android that's kept updated- meaning we'll have much more options to choose from!
Overclocker, 07 Jan 2018Anyone up for more processing power.....!!! O.oI think I'd rather prefer better optimization.
User replaceable batteries... ;)
I hope there is a phone with 5000mah battery with great camera like Zenfone 3 Zoom but using High-end Qualqomm SoC like SD 821/835. (The phone which its has High battery, great camera and high performance.)
AnonD-628531, 07 Jan 2018Physical Keyboards. 120 Hz Displays. SONY 2018. HTC U12.XZ Premium can do 120Hz
Like to see more advanced, longer fresh life in Oled. Nokia did a fantastic job in LCD which matched Oled in looks and brightness according to GSM free of Oled issues. Very encouraging but on the Oled panel it would be great to see that quality go up a notch. Not so keen on the P Oled.
As for cameras, 3 is too much. Pixel does brilliantly on one which makes the back look nice and clean.

Play 1080p then 2160p. Even if your phone is 1080p, the videos wont look same.
Nobody complains about 1440p on samsung phones.
OP5t has bad cameras, lack of waterproofing, no slot sd, no hdr screen, shipped without EIS, no stereo, no 1Gbps LTE, no android 8 yet.
Collects data from users and sents to china.
Still costs 500 dollars.
Foldable Displays
I want an OEM to provide a way to choose cpu clock without root, modified kernel etc...
Like : lets suppose cpu is octacore 2.2GHz.
Regular mode = 2.2GHz
Economic mode = 1.95 GHz
Ultra economode= 1.6 GHz
The advantage of flagships are : better built, better screen, faster updates, better cam, better audio and better support.
I do not really care about cpu. The SD625 or Mediatek P20 are enough to me. Just want the rest of a flagship.
Something new and interesting.
No notchs
No curved screen
No mono bezel ugly phones.
Anyone up for more processing power.....!!! O.o
