I suppose you arenÂ’t that blind enough to not notice that all these phones have their massive chins shaved off compared to their respective predecessors. SoC went from untrusted MediaTek to a nice SnapDragon (630, to be exact)(with excemption of the L2, which is targetting a completely different market). Fingerprint scanners were not just added, they also are now at the back (whether itÂ’s a pro or con, itÂ’s up to you, but it at least works now in the US officially, and itÂ’s now always-active). Camera has been centered. Batteries also have seen a massive leap, especially the XA2 with 1000mAh more battery than the XA1, which in itself is already a good performer with inferior SoC efficiency.
The number of people who speak nonsense here is already countless. My only favor from you is to not become one of them.

I own xperia arc, Z2 and now XZpremium. arc is five years old, Z2 three years old and nlw I own a several months XZ premium. I never had single problem with touchscreen, to go further I never had any failure with these phones. arc has the first battery inside and Z2 also. working as o out from the box. this are my experience.

Hence they decided it to put on the back rather on the Side Power Button, just hope this won't happen on the Flagships though.
Haha this is a joke. So stating the reason for the high activity in Sony threads contravenes forum posting rules? Wake up man!
Cpt. Power, 08 Jan 2018Again a top phone with midranger specs and price of 2 flagships.
Sony is going to outrun app... moreSo the A8 outruns Apple in pricing? Ok let‘s have a look at their mid range offerings.
iPhone SE: 280€
iPhone 6s: 400€
SE and 6s got older design, but better chipset, longer Software Support, and on-par camera. A8 has better display. Overall, value for money, Apple wins. If you compare it to the 30€ more expensive S8, it would be a different story, but you wanted the overpriced A8.
Always same, same old same old small screen small battery...... always big bezelssss...... please sony make a change..... growup, think future.... think out of square see what people want not u want, make something people want........ change does not wrong

Even their "worst" products are really good and long-lasting. They may not make the best products but the mere fact that they have never lost their way alone is enough for me to be amazed.
The lower bezels and resulting ~ 75% STB ratio are much appreciated. The camera's specs look good. And their dedication to the 3.5 mm jack, FM Radio and even the hardware shutter button is commendable (learn, HTC, Moto, Apple, Huawei.....). The return of the Sony Power "button" is also nice. It's a good thing they abandoned the Mediatek for the dependable workhorse that is the Snapdragon 630.
Sony has been on a upward trend since 2017. Their battery capacities and endurance has been getting back to their original superb levels. The 2018 Sony flagships should be interesting.
When other companies are too scared of Sony.. They pay online trolls hahahaha
Anonymous, 09 Jan 2018meh. why dont u stop replying to everyone first? your effort wont increase sony's sales numberI do this because it's my time killer.
And as far as I'm concerned, I have been commenting for a while now, so I don't know who the hell you are, and I don't give a single f**k about your personality.
'Til then, as long as I know that I'm not doing anything wrong, I will continue doing everything I do.
Mediocre specs...these phones are for that smart people who dont waste their money on an iphone x or another expensive gimmick
Gahead, 08 Jan 2018wth,THIS IS JUST A MIDRANGE! Sony will have the nrw design on the next FLAGSHIP, YOU GUYS ARE ... moreIm not thinking it's a flagship but it will have something close to 300 euro price tag for sure and for that amount of money there are better options available. Xiaomi RedMi 5 plus that will have SD 625 in it and will be 100 euro less then XA2/XA2U
RedMi 5 plus have less bezel and will come with droid 8 too. Well tbh there will be other models coming out soon anyways too and from other brands too.
Half a year ago when i was looking for phones i was looking XA and XA1 but then decided that i go with unknown brand from China cause it had better options on size wise and more RAM, Storage and less bezel. I think even LG G6 will be cheaper and better option then these XA2 XA2U. Latly there have come more and more new brands that give more for less money then these big old brand names that take more money for brand name then give you your money worth.

Frando, 08 Jan 2018I love Sony's design language, its different you can tell from the distance!yeah. it looks ugly from one mile away

i found that phones that are smaller like the XA2 benefit from being a bit thicker and it makes them easier to hold. too thin on a small phone makes them like the iphone--all fashion and not all that practical.
Anonymous, 08 Jan 2018I do wonder about the price the xa1 and xa2 debuted at quite a high price and then they droppe... morePeople are more likely to buy those phones this time around if they give the same launch price as the outgoing models'. Bigger battery and flagship-grade camera has sold this for me if I were in the market for mid-range.
Previous models of Xperia had lacking battery capacity. Seems like they decided to go Z2 on it and slap in a larger battery. I would seriously consider holding a phone purchase until I see what they have to offer for their flagship this year.

And it's software is as close as stock you can get it's pure gold compared to Samsung's midrange devices .. They are doing fast update these days.
Bad reviews are tend to be exaggerated and skewed on the internet. You can easily find bad reviews with apple products too.
