This, the Nokia 6 2018, MAYBE Samsung J7 2018 and LG K10 2018(who am I kidding? LOL) make all the difference jn the world. Yes, all the Chinese companies have same features and stuff for a lower price, but build quality, screen quality, etc all are way, way, WAY better when it comes from a brand name, and for 250-300$/€ they will sell far better then previous models cause of the much bettet specs. Xiaomi is gonna be no match for em this year, hell even Huawei. Maybe only in battery.

The design is better than any other manufacturers . Everything is good for mid range device except thickness.

Vegetaholic, 08 Jan 2018Sony designer can't forget 2013 and refuses to go back to reality, worst designes of phones I ... moreWell this is not THE NEW MIRAI DESIGN yet, Sony don't usually reveal phones during CES but they did here and mainly because there's a reason and that would be in the MWCa dn if they did reveal this XA2 in MWC, it will get overshadowed by the new Xperia design, and this XA2 is just recycling the old resources from XZ and Z5.

Ok. Snapdragon 630 is decent AP for mid-range. Excellent camera with OIS is hard to find among mid-rangers. Large LCD and large battery are also good. Micro-SD slot and USB Type C. Nice feature. Even dual SIM slots. Near stock Android 8.0. All are very good overall.
But 16:9 screen and wide lower bezel AND onscreen navigation buttons and fingerprint sensor in back? Why not use 18:9 screen and narrower lower bezel? Or, if Sony keep using 16:9 screen, then put physical nav buttons and fingerprint sensor in the front lower bezel. The combination of 16:9 screen with wide bezel and on-screen nav keys and fingerprint sensor in back is weird oddity like same combination of Nokia 6 (2018)

Just waiting for their price tag, considering it has SD630 w/ is definitely an upgrade from crappy MediaTek, probably $300-$450 for those. Dont care about the Xperia L.

If this phone is priced nicely, I'll get it as a replacement for my rn4x. I've always wanted to Try a Sony and I think the XA2 I'll do.

Yes, they have a brick design. But why do you people keep calling them outdated and ugly? I think they are unique and elegant, other Sony fans too. Yes, some may think they are ugly but that should not be iterated like it's a fact or something. Beauty is subjective. Usability is also subjective, many may not like Sony UI but I miss it (I am using BlackBerry PRIV now).

Sony's midrange are just like recycled products from the past flagship, MAN Plenty of you guys are so STUPID thinking this is the flagship, there's a reason why the XA2 is revealed this CES and not in the upcoming MWC, Sony doesn't usually reveal phones during CED but now they did cause for sure the new design XZ Pro-A or XZ1 Premium will have the new less bezels design language and it will overshadow the midrange XA2
