There were news of 2 major vulnerabilities in previous gen Intel Chip-sets called "Meltdown and Spectre".. Does the new 8th Gen Chip-sets address those issues..? Hoping for early reply.

Nvidia is much better when it comes to updates and bug fixes. so normally, I'd hope intel takes hold of releasing drivers for this "new breed"
I've used AMD a few times and would say their only downside is the lack of proper drivers.
Their processors are good for the price, same goes for their GPUs. but the fan keeps running at high speed which makes for a noisy machine even when browsing the web or using a word processor.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2018https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-ryzen-5-2400g-and-ryzen-3-2200g-apus-performance-unveiledI'm more interested to see how the bigger APU with 2gb hbm will perform. Should be around half the price of kaby lake g chips and perform close to their level.

https://m.hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/113291-amd-apu-1792-stream-processors-spotted/

Would be best with 16gb system ram to use hbcc.

AdamBoy64, 09 Jan 2018.. Yeah, it's not a good situation for Intel. Sure, AMD chips are vulnerable as well.. but no... moreYeah, so far as i checked the details between Meltdown/Spectre, Meltdown is definitely the worst Hardware Exploit as it can access or control your CPU/read memory.

Sure, AMD chips are vulnerable as well.. but not as vulnerable.
At this stage it's hard to get excited about buying an Intel chip..

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2018It's kinda like parts of the iPhone are made by Samsung. It's a money thing. So who cares? No. This is like if the Apple A11 Biomic used an Adreno 540.
