AnonD-580901, 09 Jan 2018Sony flagships get more attention and are much better performance wise Agreed. I have both a Note8 and Sony Xperia L1, as a backup phone, and the latter is for the price, not just very attractive (the black display blends in with the case nicely), it's very fast when doing certain things and shows up the Note8. For example, viewing the UK's Independent newspaper website which is an example of terrible web design, with media heavy content is much much smoother to scroll on the L1 using Chrome than on the Note8. Of course, the L1's lower res display helps, but Sony's phones have always run a nicely designed snappy version of Android.

Samsung's cameras and innovation is great, but they need to tackle the performance issues being they are using the latest hardware.
