My last sam... moreI know the Note 2 well - Samsung quality has improved quite a bit since then. Not saying they're now the most fantastic on the market, just that you shouldn't use the Note 2 as a benchmark to compare against today's Samsung models.

... moreHuawei is not in same premium league as Samsung Galaxy. They say that only 5 million Mate 9, flagship of Huawei of last year, were sold, mostly in China. But over 40 million Galaxy S 8 were sold worldwide. Galaxy S7, almost 50 millions. So I bet that Mate 10 Pro will not sell well in USA, because it is too expensive and too late, compared with, say, Samsung Galaxy S9 (2018), which will come out 1-2 months later than the Mate 10 Pro..

Too late and too expensive. Huawei is not same league as premium Samsung Galaxy or Apple iPhone. And the Mate 10 Pro is flagship class of last year, Kirin 970 AP is on par with Snapdragon 835 AP of last year.
We now can buy unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 at deeply discounted price of $500~$600, why pay $800 to buy Huawei Mate 10 Pro? What is the advantage of Mate 10 pro over old and cheaper Galaxy S8 to justify the additional $200~300 price tag? It just doesn't make any sense at all.

it is nice they included some goodies with the phone. But would've loved to see it the price under $700 so as to have a leg up from the competition.
Also this phone comes with a 4000mAh battery..Huawei has to optimize it well cuz it didn't perform too well in some of the battery tests i have seen thus far.
Hey! Huawei...what happened to the regular Mate 10 with 16:9AR? That's the device i was really looking for..just optimize that big battery to really show what it can do in terms of stamina.

youtube has comparisons showing iphone x heats up even more than the mate 10 pro
i've been using it for a month now and its night and day compared to my lg g4... now that phone is what i call overheating
