For me, software update means going to McDonalds or bar. My WiFi at home sucks, so I have to go somewhere where I have stable connection to make these updates xD
So, no project treble support for Samsung S8. That's very sad to see because Mate 9, Essential phone is supporting that
Anonymous, 12 Jan 2018ikr, waiting for the software update here on my end as well. xD Probably in the summer lol

I'm so impatient for the Linux on Galaxy app to develop I don't even care what version of Android I run. I could downgrade to Lollipop if they would just give me the app already!!!! After I get my app of course I'm expecting project treble support in Android P which won't happen, leaving me another shot for getting a Pixel if they can ever get their shortcoming and bugs fixed too. I don't know how you charge $650 for a phone that has unsuspecting buzzing and ticks and screen burn-in, colors fading, a whole laundry list of things gone wrong. I can honestly say I'm much happy this go around with my S8 than my S6. The Pixel line needs to catch up a little before I'm sold. Maybe solid speakers, bezel-less screen, and their own wireless desktop mode with cast screen and multiple bt radios to support up to 5 devices at once. They should embed the Fuchsia OS in the background and sell their own trackpad/keyboard combo to switch to desktop mode. Then I'd be really stoked on having a Google phone. As far as I can see I can't find 1 reason to switch to the Pixel line other than continuous software support, which I might add is still presently full of bugs.
when will come 'oreo' for Samsung S7/S7 Edge
What about camera blur/focus problem ? still no fixes for that ?
Innovation died, new updates bring nothing to the table but bugs.
There was a time I was anxious to see and try the new update. But not anymore, not after the 6th.
So yes stability is a priority and Samsung does good to focus on that, BUT other manufacturers can provide that stability and lot faster, this is unacceptable, since Samsung has the largest profits, the largest Dev teams and ought to do better...

I know Samsung aren't the best at updates, but they're are actually doing their due diligence here with this update, I'm on the beta program and they are doing a good job here. My s8+ can't be any smoother right now and that's on a beta firmware.

Samsung would be my second choice after Sony. Of course with root from day 1.
But, you have to admit that sammy has lazy af updates. And if your phone is carrier locked, your phunked.

Go and hate over on redmondpie, with the rest of the haters.
Another beta??
By the time shamesung will roll out the official oreo, sony and others will already have android P or Q final release :))
No 1 in flooding the market with cheap phones, the LAST when it comes to updates. And they effing dare to ask 1000 for an outdated phone (software speaking).
The shamesung name fits better than a glove!
Super hyped for this update. Especially the customisation of the lock screen clock!
This was pushed put to UK beta users this morning as beta 6, I've not had any issues myself with any of the betas so looking forward to the final release.
