Only fast/wireless charging was which is a secondary feature" No, these features, as well as ingress protection, were/are clearly highlighted as major features in the keynote and on Apple's homepage.
"Edge to edge screen was not and to this days only Apple and Essential did it (the rest still has visible bezels)." Wrong there is a 4mm bezel all around the iPhone and the ugly bezel. Add in the loss of screen through optimization and you have at best a screen area less than the iPhone 8+ and worse in line with the smaller iPhone. Samsungs screens have zero bezels on the sides and very small at the top and bottoms, note no ugly bezel.
"The Screen's amoled existed , but never done as well" Again Samsungs OLED screens have always been praised and the Note 8 had the same rating as the X. Many reviewers still rate the S8 and Note screens as better. The colour shifting is better, they do not have the awful yellow tint that forces you to turn off true tone, auto-brightness is more reliable and overall the screen is far better for viewing media. Simply a better user experience.
"Face unlock through depth recognition is a first too." Face unlock features have been around on phones for years, so more like a last on the iPhone. Microsoft Hello has been around for years too, as have iris sensors. Apple failed to provide a choice of unlock options which is a far more flexible option.

Now you do your research, Apple is still a follower, the X is a prime example of this, for me it is an Android clone.

10yrs in and Apple still owns this game. It’s the software people!!! Get your phones to work well and easy. We all know the only way to do it is to actually spend your own money to optimize your software and apps. Rather than depending on google to give you an OS and have apps made by anyone anywhere screw everything up their phone when downloaded.

Not something investors would like to hear during a period of launching the brand new phones. Perhaps they should start throttling iPhones 8 and 8 plus to make iPhone X look a faster phone.... May be customers will buy new iPhone X and trade in their 'OLD' iPhone 8 then..... :P

Very loosely coined words favouring a particular brand. Unless we have the numbers in hand, just playing with percentage game for catchy headlines may not take us anywhere. They are selectively talking about iPhone X first month (basically, pre-order) numbers against competitors. Overall, iPhone sales volume is dropped if we take the largest market which is US.
But Apple will still manage to post hefty profits this time as well since they probably sold enough HIGH priced iPhone X for the quarter.

Wow, surprised at the “bad” sales of iPhone X in US, apple’s strongest market and also surprised the note 8 didn’t beat the “old” S8 at 6th place in US, especially after skipping one year of galaxy note. Guess that America is not ready to pay 1000$ for the two most expensive mainstream smartphone out there.

IPhone been best seller in China for many years and chinese always been fan of iPhones and now when X is iPhone from another level i'm not surprised at all that it is best selling phone, i can see how crazy chinese people go for this phone If they have liked earlier iPhones

It has faster face unlock, it has a finger print reader, it's cheap to replace something not like 500 dollars for the back glass.
It's faster by openiing apps and it's camera is decent, it does the job.
Iphone X may have a really good camera but the crown is still the pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL, they are true camera kings.
On IOS you can do half android let's you do. Android is so good to the point it surpasses the speed of any OIS device, i'm talking about the oneplus 5T here.
I kinda agree samsung users are too biased but samsung has still better cameras than the iphone X and there's the edge and beautiful crisp screen.
My friend has the Iphone X but he was so impressed about my oneplus 5T he couldn't believe it cost 500euros. simply put, my onelpus 5T just owned in almost every aspect, naturally it lost to night time pictures. That's where the iphone X shines it takes good night pictures and video. But at day time they were alike, colours were accurate and the feelings and opinions were mixed.
The video stabilization is simply better on the oneplus 5T thanks to EIS.
Each have their pros and cons, at the end it's a matter of taste or geekness.
