I think the concerned person may have run the application with low power mode on. I have seen such scores repeatedly when low power mode is on.
Once this mode is turned off, we get the normal scores

Apple should give its users an option to use battery saving slowdown or not. What if one decides to replace the battery? Phone would still get slowed down for no reason(buy a new faster phone)

I know Apple was a scum and a con artist long time ago. It's just now all their cheating make know to the wider public. What's the difference between degraded battery and a slow phone? They "slow the phone because degraded battery" but taking forever to get where you want on the web won't eat your battery as well? I rather tethered to a changer and get what I want on the web quickly than have a longer battery life and getting nowhere. Phones used for texting and browsing than talking. Battery story is fake! It's all about selling the new phones. Robbery!!!

Just great, not enough battery fiascos, now you need to worry about other companies failures and loose 40 percent of your performance anyway, this is completely B.S. so if you install Spectre patch and have degraded battery, you basically have a brick in a pocket, you should never buy any apple product NEVER!

Carol, 13 Jan 2018Apparently your love for crapple blinds you. Look at iphone 8 and 7. Miraculously they are alm... moreAnd apparently you don't care about facts. Do some reading in the comments you will see that what is said in this article is not true.

Fact is that this patch affect iPhone 6 just as little as the rest of Apples CPUs. I see no difference running benchmarks on my iPhone 6 before and after the patch and there alot of iPhone 6 owners that says the same thing or post videos of them testing as already been posted here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_qiACdkI3U&feature=youtu.be

GSMArena should never have posted an article based on one single person tests, its really unprofessional in my opinion. Atleast they did their own testing of iPhone 7/8, thats good even if the conclusion still makes it sounds like the iPhone 6 take a massive hit which it does not.
