With those huge bezels, still nope.
But one positive thing: battery size is finally on par with the competition. In 5-6 years there is a chance that Sony phones will be fully on par with the competition.

Might get the L2, if the build quality's decent. I no longer REALLY look for great specs, as most phones, including this one, provide great value for money specs wise. If the build quality is still plastic, I'm going to have to go for the Huawei P9 lite 2017, despite being a diehard Sony fanboy. Sony needs to step their game up when it comes to build quality on low end devices, please no more plastic. Still love Sony though

Sony is becoming a joke in the smartphone world.
May as well go all out on low spec phones because nobody buys a flagship phone and thinks Sony. They had a niche with compact flagships couple years back and flopped that.
This mid-range phones are already left in the dust compared to Samsungs new Galaxy A series.
No point Sony even manufacturing them 😂😂

Also stuff like AR, some mask effects, panoram... more...how does it compare to lumia ui / similar ones having all settings at once changing them with One touch? Also iso is still in menu. Raw hidden. If you like to shoot you will also think twice with blurry edges, because they are.

Sony Xperia L2 could be better with Qualcomm Snapdragon rather than Mediatek. They could use much older SoC such like Qualcomm Snapdragon 625.
Xperia phones need to undergo plastic surgery of "liposuction" because asking them to take diet pill on Xperia will be not good enough.
Xperia XA2 could become the "cherry blossom" of XA Series if they will use OIS on the rear as opposed to OIS on the front camera for Xperia XA2 Ultra.
Mid rangers such like XA2 offering flagship features is a surprised since Sony has never done this before. Entry level L Series getting fingerprint sensor is a very non-Sony pattern and it is even rare for any companies to offer their entry level with fingerprint sensor. Even Xiaomi the budget king did not put it on their Xiaomi Redmi 5A.

Someone Else, 14 Jan 2018This is actually the first midrangers from Sony that is actually worth buying.M5 was better than Z1.
Full HD, cpu as strong as SD 800, 13MP selfie, ip68, 4K recording.
X has SD 650, stereo speakers, 64gb, full hd, imx300, 13MP front.
