Anonymous, 14 Jan 2018Sony haters like you really tickles me to the bone marrow. You guys religiously hate and bash ... more1) Stereo Speakers are a gimmick on a phone. It's much easier to carry a portable speaker or good headphones than to continuously have them stuck on top of your phone. You lose for 100% of the time for something you'd do 10% of the time (tops). It's bad design, period.
2) Motorola (for example) had them included without including a gigantic bezel anyway... but still they are part of a bad design
3) Sadly S9 would include it, not that I care about that inclusion specifically as I don't buy Samsung ever since S6 (Samsung has design ailments of her own), but -unfortunately- Samsung tends to be copied, so I expect it to see it to more brands. A TRUE step back (equivalent to having sealed batteries).
4) It's not hating to spout truths. It's undeniably true that a heavily bezelled phone is muuuch bigger than it has to be thus uncomfortable to store, carry and use. It's bad design because it makes people's lives worse, because without it their lives would be just a little bit better (much easier to carry and store).
Sony doesn't listen to the customers' need and is failing hard in the mobile space ... for a reason.

You guys religiously hate and bash it for Sony might rise on top again and your beloved Samsung will eat dust. I understand that you guys love soap design which is very cheap and cannot be distinguish in a pool of Chinese phones. Your hardware and software are half-baked, just for gimmick purposes (dropping support soon).
As what people like you are suggesting that Sony needs to jump in the bandwagon of bezeless design. Give me a good argument why your Samsung has no top and bottom stereo speakers. It's a bad design, period.

Sony fans crack me up, they're religious about their love, it's a bad religion too, sony is doing bad in design, hardware and software lately (drops support soon).
Give me one good argument why those bezels are functional and I would leave. Even Sony doesn't want them (new design is bezeless). All they do is forcing you to carry a bag with you, the very opposite of what a mobile should had been (portable)... It's bad design, period.

The things i said was the difference between the Xperia XZ Premium launch price and late 2017 flagships phone price was approx. $300 difference despite similar specs with XZP . $300 , sure , not a very big differences between them . But for some people including myself , saving $300 from a phone to another is a great value for saving money for other things such as investment , etc.

The red, cyan, green, blue are on point. The XZP display has inaccurate colors. The Speedtest app background color should be cyan like on the Note8. The XZP shows it as blue.

The power button on the side of the phone is very convenient to use. A lot of people love it, including me. It's very unique. It's just unfortunate that they cannot activate it in the US. I would still love to see it on the same place for their upcoming phones. But if they decide to put it at the back to make it available in the US, then that is better.
