there are many of them who are smart enough, they know and admit all xperia's weeknesses and hoping for improvements.
but there are also many of them who are very stubborn. keep defending sony, even dare to argue and insult other people who criticize xperia. sadly this type of sonyboys are more common here

i honestly dont think that these changes would make any difference to Xperia's display, i dont know man how come oled is better? instead i find ips lcd on XZ premium much better than oled and super amoled!

They should also hire staff to slim their wack bezels further. Even though Sony is reducing the size of their bezels... the prototypes being depicted on YouTube and other tech sites are blocky frames with bezels the size (or larger) of Galaxy S7 Edge devices. Sony is playing catch up to other OEM's and it shows. NOTE:
                  I don't mean to offend/inflame Sony fans.

Anonymous, 13 Jan 2018where is mr heatpipe who said sony will never use oled? hey dude.. sony listen to us, the tro... moreI think the most logical reason why Sony decided to put an OLED display for their phones for the first time after sticking Quantum Dot IPS LCD since Xperia Z2 , is because they already find a solution to fixed at least few if not all , the problems of OLED that still hasn't been solved . I think with that reason , that could open they way for Sony to use it for their phone in development for their flagships .

Now ' i'm not saying only haters or trolls of Sony who wants Sony to implied OLED display to their phones , but some fans and loyalist of the company who wants Sony to use it since their TV has succesfully implied OLED , including the uniquely-design Sony A1E OLED TV from 7 months ago , so it's time them to put it . To note it down , Sony has a kind of pattern lately nevertheless if their released a new / latest BRAVIA TV with new technology or BRAVIA TV with technology has been on the market for awhile , they will implied on their Xperia sooner or later depends on Sony has prepared to make it into reality .

It'll be interesting to see the subpixel arrangements for these displays.
I'd imagine 4k displays are pentile due to density, but if that density can be done pentile 1080p ones could be rgb.

Hope they know the side effects of this... bcos it will surely lead to best performance, best battery life and best display. Funny enough sony is best at all these already but the crowd is too shy to accept just bcos of LCD as if it lacks display quality in any way compared to any other.

Seems that Sony will make some improvements. Let's hope they won't stop on just the screen.

where are those sonyboys who said lcd is the best, oled bad, sony will never use oled, sony will directly use microled, big bezel better, etc ??

anyway.. this will be sony's first oled phone product. i expect sony will suffer the same problem like pixel (real burnin because they cant handle oled properly). lets see if sony's small tiny r&d can do it correctly or not
