Anonymous, 18 Jan 2018Micro LED is the newer and more advanced tech compared to OLEDThink of production instead of newer and better. Who is the biggest OLED manufacturer in the world? Who can supplies all that to other manufacturer? Yup, only Samsung can do it. MicroLED is useless as of now as we speak because no manufacturer can produce it enough to supplies to any manufacturer that want to use it.

Hbm2 is faster, better energy efficiency and smaller footprint.
This is just for the cheap cards.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2018DDR4X already comes with S8/S8 plus and note 8 so.Right. They already have LPDDR4X. But LPDDR5 has not been completed by the JDEC, so technically it's still not a thing even if Caledra shown a LPDDR5 chip

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2018Micro LED is the newer and more advanced tech compared to OLEDIt is, it is also not going to be viable for at least half a decade. We have OLED now, which is better than LCD to a higher extent than MicroLED will be better than OLED.
Sure, MicroLED improves on OLED's shortcomings mostly in terms of longevity, but the image characteristics are pretty much the same. If you saw "the Wall", which uses MicroLED you would think it's an OLED display.

As of now, however, making a single MicroLED TV takes days and tens of thousands of dollars. Good luck figuring out a tech to install millions of tiny LEDs one by one and quality testing that all work.

I i said zillion times before on many other posts Samsung have sticky fingers but instead of making one really good products they trying to do litterary everything.
Lots of quanity but the quality is nowhere.
I will always stand behind my words saying a company which focuses only on exact product like razer, tesla, lenovo making up to 3-5 products will make them insanely powerfull.
Doing everything and leave it to start another thing means average or even poor quality.

"Samsung believes they will be quickly adopted for virtual reality, artificial intelligence, 8K video processing and other demanding tasks"...in laptops it might be a big step in performance and efficiency in comparison with GDDR5 GPUs, but not a chance to see it in a phone, it would kill its battery life.

I think soon they will be far superior to SnapDragon. And if they keep this path, their competition is in big trouble.
