Not supporting Android updates is planned obsolescence, so Samsung, and every Android manufacturer, is clearly guilty of this crime!
ZloiYuri, 19 Jan 2018All you described is usually shitcoding. If any function needed time to time - it gave to run ... moreAbsolutely right ..
I agreed with Italian autority about the planned obsolescene, the best example of this is with the Flagship thas inmediatly theyr release a new one, theyr give a second plane the last year flagship, example the S7 will get android oreo maybe in the middle of sprint of 2018 when google release android P, and ever samsung give more importance to the lasted device thats the last year... and this is improceden!!!! since you pay for a premium device is too complicate have two team thats work parallel with the development of the Os Update of the lasted two principal model?
the best example of support is thats we see on apple theyr dont priorizate over different device.. and is ridiculus think thats apple do a obsolecence since theyr give support for a lot of year, of course thats you dont will get the same speed and perfomance on one iphone 8 thats the iphone 6 or 6s. but at least you will get the same OS the same day even i can understand thats samsung dont release for all since theyr have a lot a lot of device but fuk why theyr need to take a lot to release a os for a main flagshit of the lasted and current year.
another example the Beta programs is only focused on yearly main device example note 8/ samsung s8 the S7?? bien gracias!!! damn it

After the last update, the Device has started... moreMaybe that was to do with Spectre and Metdown fixes, which are widely known to reduce phone performance significantly. However, there cannot be counted as planned obsolescence, just unfortunate nature of the possible solution. It is said these fixes slows down older iphones by up to 30%..

I hope courts fines them enough to close their bussiness forewer.
Its a scam on the people.
Chinese brands will never do this because their phones barely gets 1 update :-)

Soon they will be so greedy they will slow down even an almost brand new devices like half year old.
Anonymous, 19 Jan 2018These two love to copy each other. Nicely said :-)

I have an S2 running 7.1.2 on Lineage OS and it still works, slow but it works. My Note 3 was slower than the S2 and had worse battery life on Sammy original OS until i switched to Lineage also. It now runs flawlessly and with improved battery life.

Open up task manager (expand view to see performance) on older laptops with newer windows and you will see that.
On some smartphones, iPhones in this case, the problem is that CPU is intentionaly limited from reaching its maximum clock (it is downclocked from the stats it had when it was purchased)

Is it why phones are slower after only 6 months?
I don't think Samsung is doing that...
One of my friends has an S6 edge + and it only keeps getting faster with every update..
I personally own a Galaxy J2 (2016) and ot doesn't seem to slow down either...
Alooo !!! Investigators !!! Samsung is slowing their device like hell, everyone realized this. My Samsung S6 and Tab S2, after 12-15 month of use, they were almost dead: super lag, block everyday random. I made factory reset, format sd card, all i can. Samsung must be pay for this.
