when you think about it, it's design is current enough for a new variant. It just needs some dope update like App Pair, palm swipe capture, better always on display, maybe even an always on display notes like note 8, and similar features Samsung got. Also, it must have SS 845 and 8GB or ram to stay competitive or both with 128GB of storage. That's how it can win

PapaRafe, 20 Jan 2018I would prefer SD835 but with upgraded 6GB RAM and 8MP f1.7 front-cam Per GSM Arena specs, a 6gb ram Korean model is listed in in about the V30.

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2018How is it a fail when it is one of the best smartphone? G6 is probably the worst flagship of 2017, it manages to be worse than S8...
Basically same SoC and RAM as its previous year's iteration, bigger yet less wide screen (the dimension that makes a screen comfortable to use), 90 times slower to charge (fast charge instead of popping a spare) , far smaller battery (3300 mah, instead of 5600 mah of G5 when carrying a spare) no IR or FM, worse camera in daytime with less detail.
Its only goods is/are: better camera at nighttime (but not by much), waterproof (important to some)
Neutral: It's taller, that's a bad for some people, a good for others.

With many of the flagship phones having google assistants, Bixby , siri , am yet to see a single guy speaking to the phone to get things done.. These are all unnecessary gimmicks which have zero usage in real life scenarios .. For eg. this new LG v30 should have a better selfie camera and take care of the display issues which some old lg v30s had.
