Vic, 22 Jan 2018Such an idiotic trend. Apple makes money with 3.5 mm removal all others keep losing customers.... moreMan be proud Sony finaly makes a good decisinion.
This is first time in my life i like apple because their non jack trend is followed by everyone else :-)
        I am sooo glad.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2018Don't asked why. The reason is Sony need to sell more "Sony Bluetooth headphone". Even though ... moreI have a z5 premium dual. And I used the sony bluetooth brand MDR-EX750BT. Not only it has an excellent audio. But it has an LDAC support. Meanwhile, you don't get LDAC on plugged headphone jack. Unless you buy a very expensive sony headphone jack which people do not buy.

S . SUDHAKAR, 22 Jan 2018Foolish idealol! Foolish Idea? Sony has a lot of bluetooth headphones right now. And having an LDAC via bluetooth is already a good audio boost. You just can't accept the fact that the No head jack smartphone era has succeeded in persuading sony after google followed apples tech by also removing the headphone jack on pixel 2 devices.

                      Bad idea.
First, put FPS on the back is horrible idea - side mounted FPS was most convinient place for operation.
Second, removing 3.5mm headphone jack - for what??? Apple did it for the money from their property port. Sony and other follow this without to think, that users don't want to wear dongle in their pockets.
Third, for what the hell all 2018 Sony phones are thick as a$$?!? Can't you keep it 8mm, even 8.5mm??? And there isn't bigger battery inside!
If they move FPS back, remove the 3.5mm jack and keep it as thick, will not buy next ZX Pro, or whatever will be the name... Also - so stupid name policy....
You must hire some EU or NA manager for your mobile devision. Obvious this japanies guys can't even name a phone, not to mention - how to look and what to do.

no 3.5mm jack?? in a few years we'll have no power and no volume keys, thy just focus on slimmer phones but less functional. i think phones are slim snough, no need to do it slimmer. I think phones are coming with less features, they offer useless or not reliable functions (iris scanner, hybrid dual sim, no sd card so you have to pay cloud storage, etc) but removing essential ones (3.5mm jack, sd card slot, IR remote controller, etc)

Don't asked why. The reason is Sony need to sell more "Sony Bluetooth headphone". Even though Sony include headphone jack for their new cellphone, not many people will buy it anymore. Most people only talking like Sony, but no buy.

To phones maker! It's wrong way! Stop it & give up.. It is right way/path: creating extra USB type C Port (output) exclusively for headphones/earphones {we need to next generation headphones/earphones with USB type C plug} easy to understand, according to huge space top/down bottom easy to make..

Sacrificing the mp3 jack just for the battery or the thickness is a pure shit.
