So this should be a disc of 5 sets of lenses for different focal lengths. That's clever but also hints the big sensors with their 41 megapixels will not be employed this time, also following the hard limit of 32MP imposed by SD845 architecture and possibly thermal issues.
At this point I'm pretty sure Panasonic, Sony and Microsoft could have pushed mobile photography much further.

Combining the image input from several sensors - as long as you can account for parallax errors - means you get a far superior output.

Vegetaholic, 23 Jan 2018Utterly gimmicky nonsenseWe don't know that until its released. Computational photography is the future for mobile cameras, so if HMD in collaboration with Nokia and Zeiss have managed to achieve that with a 5-sensor setup, then bring it on!

Won't do much of greatness, if they limit the camera like in Nokia 8. I'm still waiting for the update that unlock the cameras full potential. They also limited the camera in n8, but they unlocked it in later software update. Hopefully hmd will do what Nokia did back then.

As much as I can tell..and I can't read Chinese.. There appears to be 5 cameras, a flash, a finger print reader.. and something else, Maybe another flash?

Sounds like a great idea until you realize Nokia have no programmer doing computational photography. The result will just be crap

I want Nokia wellness and know they have some things up their sleeve and have treaded carefully before bringing real character to phones like they use to but i do worry this is too much.
I am all for a large sensor and state of the art processing and do not mind a thicker phone for that reason but there is something to be said for keeping things simple, powerful and effective. Couple that with some real character in the handset an it will be a new classic.
Great year ahead - looking forward to the 9 & 10. My favorite older Nokia 6720 Classic that was 14mm thick had a slight curve to match the curve of around the jaw and with great touches like the unique notification light pulse was just brilliant. Solid and attractive
