This is only something every company does compare current vs previous sales. How do you know if you are peforming well or changes you have made are paying off it you don't compare them to previous sales?

to be honest i never liked iphones but at the moment iphone 7 is the best you can get its cheaper than android flagships and newer iphones and yet you get everything you need - good camera,screen,sound,performance etc.

For iOS There are only 3 options available for latest and greatest
For Android there are Flagships by every manufacturer with almost same internals. In other post you say that of course the sales would be divided even in just three models with only one flagship
Now consider 10-15 Flagships of different manufacturers in world of Android.. great herd you are

Sorry mate. That is just not true.
The iPhone 10 is a great phone. But it doesn't have the best camera as Huawei but mostly the Pixel 2 beats it, it doesn't have the best screen to body ratio (Samsung cheats with curve? What about the Apple Notch?) with Xiaomi and LG beating it, it does DEFINITELY not have the best battery, look at the mate 10 pro.

Best camera (along with Mate Pro and Pixel 2)
Best Screen (according to displaymate)
Best battery as compared to any other iphone
Most screen estate than any phone from 2017 (Samsung cheated by using curved screen)
You'd expect it to be $100 than Note 8...

Apple now has completely new situations, they have three new iPhones. Of course sales spread more among of them. And Im sure Apple never expected X to be best selling iPhone in history with that price tag. They are now offering wide selection of great phones in many different price points, which many are selling very well. Apple now had propably top 5 best selling phones in the market.
Apple is now stronger than ever before.
Why you think Apple is fooling people? Apple have most satisfied customers in the market, while Android fanboys like you are butthurt and insecure and only thing you can talk about is that sheep thing because that's only thing what you got.

So in two months it sold around 10 million less than galaxy S8 in it's lifetime. And they said X is selling badly :) sales are already close to 40 million. By the way that 18 million is under real number.

I think the Price plays a big factor here, Apple should have reduced a price by at least $100 or more to make up market share, affordability is always question with iPhones.
