Anonymous, 25 Jan 2018Motorola ceo already said they are not into number game. Hey, just imagine what will happen if... moreYou are right and thinking form the companies profits point of view. Here is the real reason Motorola and Lenovo will come aggressively in 2018 because-
1. India is still Fastest growing smartphone market and will grow with same pace in next 5 -10 years. So if Motorola is not trying hard they will lose the new potential customers.
2. Each new customer now only becomes repeat customer but also influences others to buy the same. So it's like a chain. Grab the new customers or you won't be able to sell in future.
3. Less sales means less brand exposure and less publicity. Which ultimately leads lesser sale. This cycle continues. Just look what happened to Sony. They also didn't respond to competition. Now no one even know that they sell in India.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2018When Xiaomi climbs to the top, prices will rise. This is inevitable.Man maybe they rise but by maybe 5-10% per phone at most, where for example Samsung A8 and A8+ compared to its precedessor rised its price by 25-40%.
Some companies never sells cheap thats it.

Another example, although unrelated, is that of Reliance Jio. Capture the market, then generate revenue off of it.

AnonD-368020, 24 Jan 2018Man u talk like extremists.... I wish you peaceI am very peaceful. And i would like. I intend to remain like this :-)
Xiaomi is the future.
For example Samsung needs advertising for they A, S and Note series everywhere they try to sell them. Xiaomi sells by price.
Their low prices are much better than any brainwash in tv from Samsung.

Hey, just imagine what will happen if Motorola launch a redmi note 4 spec phone that cost similar.. Will we buy Xiaomi or Motorola?? Definitely Motorola.

Then Xiaomi starts reducing price to Capture market again.. Xiaomi can win hearts of price sensitive buyers. Not everyones.

Xiaomi taking very very less profit for a phone.

Xiaomi sells 1000 phones is equal to Motorola 100 phones... Because of the margin.

Soon all will use xiaomi and other chinese brands.
In 2040 having a J3 model from Samsung for 500 eur isnt a solution.
Soon Samsung entry level phones will sell for same price as xiaomi top phones.
As the expenses goes up and sallary down or remains same, unchanged or with bare minimum rising soon all will afford only xiaomi and other chinese phones.

Lenovo and Motorola were always part of the mobile phone history. Motorola was beggining with their Dynatac DX8000 back in 1981 i think and 10 years before with their prototype made by Martin Cooper.
Samsung have no chance.

You paying for a brand logo not for a premium device.
I am from Europe and here Xiaomi sells much better than Samsung,
If we compare price and specs for that price xiaomi always won while Samsung always failed.
There is nothing else to be said.

paul, 24 Jan 2018this is a true hater lol.....Man hes not hating hes trying to tell you Xiaomi is much better in all aspects especialy the price and specs for their devices compared to other well known companies.
A1 from xiaomi cost 220 aproximetly.
Find me any Samsung device for 220 eur with simillar specs Not a chance.
Now A8 or A8+ cost 500 and 600 eur.
Imagine how gruesome should be xiaomi phone for 600 eur,
Some companies are ruled by greed and some by friendly positive way to get even more customers.

Mr , 24 Jan 2018So, you pray about companies to fall down and have bad business? You must be a really nice person...Man i would like the same.
Nobody wants greedy companies who drain your wallet like baby drain milk and offer nothing for that just higly overpriced devices like A8 or A8 plus. Samsung inst Bentkley, or Buggati.
Samsung is just average company which can be found anywhere offering decent devices but for unreasonably high price.
Xiaomi A1 cost 220 eur and offers same or better specs than their new A8.
Apart from water resistance A1 does the same tricks for less than half of the money.
Thats the truth. If we keep companies like Samsung continue in their path soon we will pay for J3 2030 model maybe 500 eur. This isnt good. What you think?

Herodroid, 24 Jan 2018Lol. Thats not how it works. The more popular company is, the higher brand price is. So on top... moreMan you are right you pay just for a company logo in case of Samsung.
You cant expect good device for a good price.
Samsung is everywhere in every corner and every of their shop, warehouse, store, workers, managers etc cost a lot of money. Also their advertising and other bussiness.
For example when a S8 or Note 8 was unveiled in my coutry was advertising of it in TV every 20-30 minutes for month or more.
In case of xiaomi no advertising at all and yet they still sells much more than samsung.
