Dude please read it more carefully, i said what for you have a bigger memory phone? when your photo is uploaded in the iCloud and you go traveling in a place with a poor internet connection and dont have a wifi connection the photo would not be loaded without a good internet connection. I think this is why phone have a bigger memory upgrade almost every year, isnt this the reason so you can access this photo without having to reloaded the photo in iCloud then have a bigger memory phone. Back up is good, but it should leave the original copy to be keep at the internal phone memory donÂ’t make it become unavailable to access without a good connection to iCloud server to load the photo.

This won't be a problem if Apple didn't act like a--holes and placed a bigger capacity battery on the iPhone instead of the mediocre one they currently have. Sure, standby times are excellent on iOS but what's the point of having a smartphone if you just plan to keep it on standby and not use it, might as well get a feature phone if you just plan to keep it on standby. Plus many Android phones now have excellent standby times as well plus better screen on times.

RaiRaiPasaway, 25 Jan 2018what about the old iphone like iphone 4 and 4s?They aren‘t throttled, so they don‘t need a switch. Only iPhone 6 to iPhone 7.

No need for this "feature". If you have an old battery, you either replace it or have your CPU throttled. As simple as that.

Kyxo, 25 Jan 2018Apple is really really mad right now i just capture some photo this morning and now i want to ... moreWhy don't you just take all photos from your phone and put them on your laptop/backup drive/cloud? Why would you keep so many photos on your phone? You don't need them to be available at all times.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2018Yes it does, now you can chose A) throtle speed and keep phone stable B) disable throtle and... moreThere is another option :
D) buy the new iPhone 8 or 8 plus or iPhone X

I hope Apple could cut the iPhone price not just the battery because this is not even a solution. The iPhone right now is too overpriced with a minimalist features, this software solution would only make the hype of disappointed people to be reduced for a couple of months and this problem will raise again. Maybe this is why there is some issue about a price cut will happen in these year

Should customers still trust Apple to do the right thing after this debacle? Does disabling the throttling option really do what it says?

LoL at Apple using batteries that lasts only 2 years before going kaput.. My Nokia 808 still achieved 2 days of battery life even after 5 years using it daily as camera and phone and some games/browsing.. That is HIGH QUALITY BATTERY

Nokia FTW

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2018I think I will agree with you. Apple = greedy, almost evil. Apple and hell going hand in hand.
I believe a Steve Jobs succesor i think Tim Cook maybe or someone else signed a pact with devil and ruined all the Steve Jobs work.
Now we see the results and this is just a peak of an iceberg.

"All data is encrypted and protected with a passcode" - lol really?

Please read this article titled "Apple's Health app provides key evidence in German rape & murder case" where the suspect is thought to have disposed of the woman's body in a river, but a portion of time was missing from collected geodata and surveillance video, Motherboard said on Thursday, citing Germany's Welt. Investigators turned to his iPhone, hiring an unknown Munich firm to break into it after he refused to share his passcode.

My question is: how did that "unknown firm" break into a encrypted/password protected iPhone?

Just do a search for pretty much any model + ”battery issue shutdown” and you will find alot of people having issues with earls shutdowns connected to bad battery health. Its is in no way unique for iPhones.
