Android 2.3 Gingerbread rolls out on Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Comments

I tried several times updating my X10 and its awlays telling me that i'm up to date, tried going to Sony Xperia here in Mall Of Asia( Philippines ) and was advised I cant have it on my X10? Help please.

Alok, 07 Sep 2011is 2.3.3 available in India..............Yes it is... connect phone to SE PC suite and will auto get pop-up when you select Update phone software...

Posting a bit late to the party here, but just wanted to say, after months of waiting for my network carrier to OK the Gingerbread update I got fed up of waiting and plucked up the courage of debranding, installing a (slightly) custom version from XDA and.. was best thing I ever did. My X10 is so much faster, everything is quicker and more responsive, battery last a little longer and the UI (together with the Arc launcher I did at the same time) is now pure joy. So much so that I'm going to hang onto my phone a little longer. If you haven't upgraded or are still waiting for your provider then take the plunge you won't regret it!

patrick marbebe, 20 Aug 2011can i ask if how to fix my camera because when i upgrade to 2.3 the camera was malfunction and... moreroot ur phone,install 'system tuner'(app)n increase SD chache to 1024 frm d app....works like a wonder for me,saw dis suggestion on se blog site by some alok...thnks to him,happy to help...cheers

otherwise, try this, connect cable to your phone first.
then connect cable to PC.
You must have the latest PC Companion version.

and then scroll down to select your country.
then click support and from there you can download PC Companion.

AnonD-17934, 15 Aug 2011Hi guys...just a doubt..read sumwhere tht theres no back up nd restore option whn we update th... morethere are no longer the option of backup & restore in the 2.3 version. So go to the market and download other types of backup&restore apps. Your phonebook, you can just backup to your sdcard. Sms can be backup using apps from market, SMS back&restore. And for all your apps, i use astro file manager, which you can get from market. When you are in your astro file manager, menu key, then tap tools, then tap application manager/backup, then you see 2 tabs on the top. One tab says Install apps. In that page you select all apps or just the apps you wan to back ups, then tap backup. The other tabs is backed Up apps (meaning apps that are already backed up). Do all these before you upgrade your version. Another way to backup your phonebook is via sync with gmail. Later you can restore via sync with gmail too.
