Nothing changed in using smartphone. I'm use phone in heavy way every day. i 2010 had desire HD, i charged it 2-3 times a day. now I got NOTE 4 and still have to charge it 2-3 times sometimes event 4 times a day. So like I said nothing changed

The GSMArena battery endurance test contains a lot of stand-by time. Today's phones have much bigger screens and a lot of processing power compared to 2010, if you actually use the phone there is no way that battery life has doubled. Most people still only get about one day from their phone (if that).
Depends on the screen, if it's AMOLED and use dark blacks then it contributes longer battery life, vice versa can't be said for LCDs regardless if it has bigger battery it will just consume more because it uses backlit to power the screen where AMOLED doesn't.
Just the s5 lasts 3 times as long as s8. With the same usage on both. Nokia n8 lasted 5 times as long as Nokia 8. So it surely depends on the brand. Samsung got worse over the years. 4 hours Spotify every day when working out. 3-5 hours gaming every evening. About 2 hours talk every day. 4 hours camera usage every day. S5 could last 2 1/2 with that. Note 8 lasts 1/2 a day.

Yesterday the removable battery is the trend because the battery capacity is small can't reach for a heavy usage so some people buy more battery for replacing daily. Nowadays all module fit in a small device the solution reduces the waste space, so the sealed battery is saved space. To prolong the battery lifespan Qnovo battery charging technology is a great solution, it also avoids people from replacing a new battery yet retain the battery endurance, it is a healthier and safer way to manage a lithium battery.
In my usage case, need a smartphone with solid 10 hours SoT on 3G/LTE enabled to have full two days of battery life.
Lenovo P2 was a candidate, but at this point I wish Lenovo to launch P3 this year.
Before lenovo P2, P70 carried 4000mah and can be use as power bank, lenovo and sony qnovo has a good battery
Mine is Mi Max Prime... When used solely on social media, it can last 2 days, sometimes more.. When I tried s7, it lasted only 1 day with the same usage.. That's why I give s7 to my sister and back to my Mi Max..
Anonymous, 28 Jan 2018Well it technically has a bigger battery, s8 does more and is probably used more, add you prob... moreThe difference is just 100 mAh,let's see how his Z3 outlasts S8
What makes S8 last longer
1. 2017 Samoled which is even more efficient than 2014 samoled vs 2014 Ips lcd which is more draining than 2017 ips lcd
More efficient SD 835/E 8895 (10nm) vs SD 808 (20nm)
What makes Z3 last longer
FHD vs QHD+
5,2" vs 5,8"
both should be equal just like gsm endurance rating, but it actually should be sammy s8 to outlast Z3 for having newer component but not. And he was just exaggerating while even if it outlasts s8 but it won't be by much perhaps just a matter of minutes

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2018My Z3 still outlasts my friends S8 lol.Well it technically has a bigger battery, s8 does more and is probably used more, add you probably use stamina mode
