AnonD-704307, 27 Jan 2018This is going to be one boring MWC.Lonch in date

Micro SD Card slot is small, doesn't get that much in the way and yet, you seems to persist that getting rid of it was the right choice. No, giving the user an option is the way forward.

You just need to be logical and know your stuff (aka the existence of USB OTG, so often forgotten).
Anonym, 29 Jan 2018If only there was a way to connect a cheap USB(-C) flash-drive ("pen") to your phone and plug/... moreIf only they could just add small slot that has no compromise to other components, instead of throwing all the burden to consumer.
Oh wait, you're a corporate sympathizer, you defend anti-consumer action in the name of progress.

Oh wait, there already is, it's called USB OTG and is fully supported by the Mi6 (and many others before it).
Ascorth, 28 Jan 2018If you want microSD slot go with redmi series or mi max, xiaomi flagship doesnt have microSD s... moreNo, it's not trolling, it's stating your opinion. Besides, the Mi 4s has micro SD card slot.
I like mid-range, like the RN3 Pro or Mi Max, it's good and feature packed while using a good SoC. But sadly it has no true successor. The RN4x and Mi Max 2 uses weaker SoC and a major stepback when comparing it to it's predecessor.
Caltsio, 28 Jan 2018A 128GB (112GB more or less usable) internal storage not enough for you?? the higest capacity... moreAs a student who travels a lot, and usually to low bandwidth area, I need to pack my phone with a lot of music and movies. I already have two maxed out 64GB micro SD card (because my phone only support 64GB micro SD card). While I rarely game anymore, it's data (incl. update) could went beyond 2GB each. So yeah, a nice future proof phone should keep it's sd card slot, since we have went to the point of good mid range SoC that won't lag over the time (I'm using a stable custom ROM)

the higest capacity available sd card is 400GB for now
even a Samsung Galaxy S8+ only capable to use a 256GB sd card with a hybrid sim slot
123, 28 Jan 2018why they did not release mi6 plus last year? massive mistake the mi6 has too small screenThey made the Mi Note 3 and called it the day. In fact, that's as close to the Mi 6 Plus you're gonna get, SD660 is still competent enough.
Fulljack, 28 Jan 2018We're not readyo phase out 3.5mm jack just yet. Even type-C is the new standard and many OEMs ... moreIf you want microSD slot go with redmi series or mi max, xiaomi flagship doesnt have microSD slot since Mi2.
If you are xiaomi user, u know this..
if you are interest with this flagship, then you know UFS will be fine (they use UFS since Mi5).
But when you cry baby asking microSD , thats definitely trolling..
If you dont like, dont buy it
I have 128GB microSD class 10, do i regret using Mi series without memory slot ? NO !!
Last time i use my card is when i pick Galaxy Note 4,. And the performance getting worst !
Now thats memory belong to my camera.

Even type-C is the new standard and many OEMs still cheapened out and use micro USB. Unless all phone has acknowledged to use type-C solely, I won't give up entirely on 3.5mm jack.
Micro SD card is slower than internal, that's true but it is NOT that slow. A cheap UHS-I class 10 micro SD card is capable of recording 4k videos. Which is fast enough to store your music, videos, images, and whatnot but not apps. Besides, who said that a micro SD card can't be encrypted? It is certainly can and secure enough for the most of the population (I'm talking about 99% of the population)
why they did not release mi6 plus last year? massive mistake the mi6 has too small screen
Adrian, 27 Jan 2018If they are planing on releasing it at 475 as previous rumor said .... they might aswell never... moreSamsung s9 1000$, Sony pro 1000$ etc... 500$ is still only half of what real flagships Are going to cost this year...
LG superfan, 27 Jan 2018So we might only get three flagships at MWC. SadWhen Samsung takes all the new flagship soc in the Beginning, what to Expect...
Well if someone has allegedly said in anonymity then it must be true.....
Fulljack, 27 Jan 2018Unless they add features like IP 67/8, wireless charging, dedicated SD card slot, or 3.5mm jac... moreTechnology is phased out and replaced all the time. USB-C can provide better audio than 3.5 mm. Built-in memory can be a lot faster and more secure than SD-cards.
