Sorry but this news is fake. SD 845 can support only 8GB LPDDR4 memory as per Qualcomm.

No need to ever clear memory and you can switch apps instantly. More RAM is always worth it as long as it doesn't add a significant overhead on the price.

Also 128 GB stor... moreFor you maybe, certainly not for me, 4gigs is utterly insufficient for the things I do with my phones, 6 is somewhat more capable. Same thing goes for storage. Either way though, why keep things the same forever? Spec improvements are good, even if for most people it's unnecessary. I doubt even a quarter of flagship owners even slightly utilize their CPUs in their phones but I certainly don't hear them complaining that it's too powerful, either because of what they paid or since they simply don't know anything else. The point is that somebody has to push forward for any kind of evolution to happen, that's what one plus used to be best at for value and performance, if it's pointless for you, why complain about it? Why not just go for a lower spec phone if that's what you want.. It's like complaining about quadro or tesla GPUs or server oriented CPUs cause they cost several thousand and are utterly insufficient for your uses when the fact of the matter is that they're specialised hardware.
And don't even suggest that it gives software devs less intention to optimize their work cause that's utter bollocks. Any dev who gives the slightest crap about their work would aim to make it as efficient as possible.

What da…. How the heck will you use 10GB of RAM?!? Especially if the 512GB NAND is UFS2.1 or faster, with NMVe SSD Speeds. On my laptop, I barely fill my first 8GB SO-DIMM with moderate multitask on Windows. What can you possibly do to use 10GB of RAM on Android???
