AnonD-732422, 02 Feb 2018 xiaomi is the most successful company in 2017No, the biggest jump in 2017, not reflected in this article is BBK, they sell their phones under the Oppp, Vivo and OnePlus brands, which they own.
They are in fact the second phone company after Samsung, topping Apple.

Xiaomi will soon jump Oppo.Their phones are for younger customers, and they don't give updates.Xiaomi are better in that segment.

Please give bigger breakdown, not just the top 5 vendors that we all know. I want to see where HTC, Sony, Nokia, LG, Blackberry and other brands are standing. Please provide breakdown down to 20.

AnonD-1825, 02 Feb 2018Samsung ASP is very low compared to Apple, those low end phones which most Samsung sales are d... moreI suppose they do make profit by
Making screen, processor and flash memory for apple ( another company does that too but Samsung is included in suppliers)
Being self sufficient in their devices. They can do everything that's needed to make a phone in house unlike apple including assembly
By selling 100 million more phones..

Good job by Xiaomi, Samsung and another manufacturer, their sales are phenomenal.. But personally, I still prefer HTC and Sony, coz I like them very much.. Currently I'm using HTC U11 as my daily driver and Sony Xperia XZS as my 2nd phone.. Looking forward to another great devices from them in 2018..

Considering that Samsung sold 101.7 MILLION more phones than Apple, SURELY their profit must be higher, even considering the ridiculous over pricing of 2017's iPhones??

I wonder how is Oppo doing good. Their phones aren't worth it, Vivo and OnePlus (their siblings) should do better in statistics as they offer more goodies. Vivo is trying hard to break records, OnePlus is trying to give a phone worth the price, none of these are in Oppo... Their R11s is expensive, Their F5 isn't good in performance wise unlike Vivo's V7.

Performance by Huawei and Oppo is appreciable. It means their phones are improving and should be in purchase-list for 2018 shopping. :D
