This reminds me when razor blade companies kept adding more blades as "innovation" for newer products...

perform some true innovation and improve on a single camera! I betcha Google Pixel's single camera still beats this setup, by a mile.

coolsauce, 03 Feb 2018This is a proof that mobile market has matured into trend state where gimmicks rule over commo... moreCoul not agree more.

Just present it as "innovation" and voila...it will sell.

I just Cant wait till the triangle screens also become trendy and innovative...
That ll be a blast. :-)

Why some of chinese Android brands follow from what Apple do? When Apple launched iPhone 7 which is the phone without headphone jack on it, some of chinese Android brands follow that trend. When Apple launched iPhone X with camera placed vertically, some of them also follows that trend. Are they got possessed?

AnonD-732843, 03 Feb 2018Obi Wan Kenobi, I've been looking for you lol. I haven't seen you chip in your say for a littl... moreHello there! Thanks for noticing me...

I'm from a place called Stewjon, although I have lived in Tatooine since a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away......

I use a very old phone.....nothing new.....

A good phone doesn't often translate to financial success...Proof of that is LG posting losses & iPhones selling well....

I'm not sure whether you can sue them if they don't give Android P to LG V20, but generally flagships get at least 2 major upgrades....

Tann Hauser, 03 Feb 2018? Whats your problem? Yea, I want six speakers and 5.1 dolby surround on a phone. Also at l... moreI'm the same as you are. Seeking the highest spec on a mobile phone that is to be a complete replacement of a laptop. But to cost a $500?? Whose manufacturer would want to sell a smartphone with All that kind of specs for only $500? Having that specification would be sold at $2,000 or even more! And for that kind of specs. It would be in the range of a flagship. Not midranger.
But if you want to have that kind of specs for a mid range smartphone? Wait for 10 years or so.

MarkusLeto, 04 Feb 2018Dear Huawei, please retain the 3.5 mm headset jack port. Thanks. They don't read here and doesn't care about Your or mine opinion. It's simple to make them keep audio jacks. Just don't buy such devices, none of sane people should buy one without an audio jack even if they aren't using it. USB-C was never ever made to compete with audio jack, it even states in the specifications: "USB-C should not replace the 3.5mm audio jack". But smartasses who pray on people stupidity must do otherwise...Huawei became new samsung and I lost all hope in it. Don't buy devices without audio jack...please do a favour for the world.

AnonD-510098, 03 Feb 2018Huawei are great innovators, cant wait to see what they bring to the sceneWell, IMO, phones should have at least 8 cameras there on the back

That innovation could be called "Mood cameras":
A Happy camera, a Sad camera, a Love Camera, a BreakUp camera, Naughty camera, an Outrageous camera, Horizons camera, Food camera, etc...

AnonD-434295, 04 Feb 2018Stupid arrangement, I would rather have tele + wide lens than having 2 tele lensAnd just to let you know: The Light L16 has 16(!) cameras. Zero ultra wide angle cameras, five wide angle cameras, five short tele cameras and 6 tele cameras.

Off. The camera setting looks way akward. A marketing gimmick..Next time when u see properly aligned camera set in actual realease of this phone, u begin feeling like U actually got more value for the product that it would have if this misaligned leak wasnt made

AnonD-434295, 04 Feb 2018Stupid arrangement, I would rather have tele + wide lens than having 2 tele lensFor most people tele is much more useful than ultra wide angle. Every smartphone has a wide angle camera. You mean a ultra wide angle camera, so wide angle + ultra wide angle would be 2 wide angle cameras, whereas a 2x camera would be just a normal 50mm.
