Just looked again at the leak that claimed 5x hybrid zoom and 40 megapixel resolution.
If it's 5x hybrid zoom, then I think there will be a ≈2.0x RGB+2.0x monochrome camera and a single main camera. They will use multi frame image processing and combine the two tele cameras in order to get more details for either a higher resolution or more zoom. Though I am not sure whether this is possible due to diffraction.

The Huawei P20 plus with the notch looks good. Might going for this instead of the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Becareful with Huawei!
They build amazing hardware and yet ship it with the most brain dead Android that will convince you that iOS is the most advanced OS on the planet.
Huawei's just recently delivered last year's flagship an OTA update with a playstore that does not allow you to install any new apps with many most used languages missing.

Man, all these unknown chinese phone manufacturers try all kinds of weird s*ht. Good thing people care about their personal/bank details and don't buy chinese brands.
Oh wait... They actually don't care if their personal details are sold to third parties, their money stolen by various "hackers" who take advantage of built-in backdoors, and their private life being constantly monitored by a large number of people and algorythms. The beauty and pleasure of owning a chinese device. Yesss!!!!!

Maybe RGB +monochrome +software for a hybrid 2x mode and a 3x tele.
Though I imagine that they could also use a monochrome 2x camera , a RGB 2x camera and a RGB main camera for better 2x image quality. Or they cancel the monochrome camera and use a very short tele (2x) as well as a short tele (3x).
