Sun Down, 31 Jul 2011Seems like everyone here is confused. Hate to break your bubbles guys, but ''shipment'' not eq... moreHate to "break" it to you, you're ignorant and have no idea how retail works. These shipments DO equal to sales, it equal to sales from the manufacturer(samsung,Nokia, apple, etc) to carriers and retail stores. Did you think that these manufacturers shipped these phones to carriers such as O2, Deutche telekom, Verizon Wireless, ATT, Sprint for free and when carriers make a sale they send a portion of the money to the manufacturer, or that walmart gets these phones for free and when they sell it they reimburse Samsung or Apple? This shows how smart you are, which quite frankly isn't much to brag about bud. Most of these manufacturers aside from Apple don't even have a direct store where you can purchase these devices directly from them. Nokia had retail stores but guess what? IT SUCKED, they closed shop because they weren't getting enough traffic to justify the cost of operating such retail stores. Shows how much you know.

another day... same story... fanatics and haters lining up like a swarm to spew hatred against Nokia in a section where Nokia is mentioned... seriously people don't you have any better things to do??? Nokia may not have a 'powerful and battery hungry' Android or beautiful interface like iOS; but at least it is user friendly??!!!! mind you Android is an adopted OS on which other companies have succeeded... Apple? well it is an independent player in the market... so sane people let's not spam GSMArena with hatred... live with what you have!!

JunePhilippines, 31 Jul 2011OMG... your result is for Q3 (based on April 2011 Reports). I said Q4 9based on July 2011 ... moreYou're not too smart, aren't you? Here, I'll break down the numbers for you. It seems like you fail on basic reading comprehension.

      Microsoft Q4 2011 revenue = $17. 37B

      Apple Q3 2011 revenue = $28. 57B

What I pointed out on my other post was Apple surpassed MS on Market cap last year and THEN they surpassed MS on revenue last quarter. Apple is now bigger than MS. The guy you flamed was right and you are wrong. It seems like you need to have your knowledge updated. XD

Everywhere in the world And... moreRight, choose Android and Nokia will just be another dull Android phone due to the number of Androids available, or choose WP7 and become unique, standing out among the crowds and thus, attracting much more attention. Maybe you have a grudge against WinMo 6.5, but WP7 Mango is a far cry from what 6.5 will ever be. In fact, I find it's UI to be the best among others. You're so sure WP7 will never gain popularity, I call BS. Being unique and innovative is the path to popularity, not joining the masses.

It's faaaaar behind in terms of seller numbers ! The truth is that Windows will never equal Android and ios! Nokia had far better alternatives! Eigher allign with everybody else and start producing Android phones or concentrate on Meego as their primarily Os and Symbian as the secondary! Yet they say they won't consider Meego as a primarily OS ever if N9 turms to be a huge succes ! The only good thing they've done is improve Symbian! This Elop guy is betting on the wrong horse...!

I myself even dreamed of having iphone 4, unable to sleep before because of excitement. When i got it on my hand, my amazement lasts for only 4 days.

And promised myself not to buy the next iphone gen because I'm so disappointed on how Apple let me handle contacts, sms, etc. It is so very dependent on computer.

                    NOT SMART ENOUGH for me.

I've yet to see an application that stresses the iPhone 4. What he said has a bit of truth in it, no sane person would buy an iPhone 5 (shelling out loads of cash) if their current iPhone 4 is doing their job well. Those who buy it are most likely Apple fanboys (most likely), reviewers and benchmarkers and dissapointed iPhone 4 users (not likely).

Samsung and Apple might bring out bigger ''shipment'' numbers, but it's the sales that counts. Knowing Nokia's hardware, I doubt the return rates are more than it's competitors when you factor ratio to it's number of users.

Having every smartphone be Android would be just plain boring. Kinda like having no competition for Windows PCs. Its nice to have some competition for the market share leaders (regardless of how they got there). Its the OTHER OSes that impress me most - iOS, Blackberry, Symbian, WP7, Meego, WebOS, etc.

Without them I'd probably just get a feature phone and buy a separate camera. Thankfully I don't need to - running around these days with a Nokia N8 smartphone with the worlds best phone camera is awesome :-)

Remember that iPhone 5 will have new A5 SoC which will contain new duoal-core CPU and new GPU. That's mean iPhone 5 will have more performance for hungry applications. Also don't forget that probably iPhone 5 will have new camera. New power hungry hardware will require new battery with more capacity.

So, in my opinion it is not right to say that iPhone 5 will be the same as iPhone 4.
