Who Carl! Its people who bring about their dreams come true. One plus shall be d highest gainer as the market is high nd dry as far as this compact phone segment is concerned.
bradBuzz, 06 Feb 2018If they are listening to their customers it'll be a 5' or 5.2' phoneThey sure need to, though 5.20 is already a little bigger than comfortable5 to 5.15 within 140 mm overall length. They need to cut bezels mercilessly both horizontally and vertically to make it attractive contemporary and ergonomically comfortable to hold n operate. Icing on cake shall be the metal rim running around it a la one plus X! It does'nt make much difference what processor they put in as it is humanly not possibly to make out real difference between the better and the best ones. I am desperately looking forward to a nice package this time.
Would like this to be a continuation of a compact phone of the size of not more than5.15 " and aspect ratio of 18:9 with Dual cam variable aperture and slim 7.5mm size! It is a wish list in fact and the market is so devoid of any worth a name compact yet fully loaded cell phone as on date. Bad design of Sony compact has taken away little hope of finding one as many like me are looking forward to. Bring in a good compact we all badly need.
Peter, 08 Feb 2018Please make a phone 4.7 to 5.0 inch so we can easy grab itright
why 5.5 inches display? the x best feature was portability! For the love of god someone make phones human sized again!
I don't think it's practical to launch a soc 835 smartphone for $230 instead soc 821 will be more affordable and also a 5.2 inches 18:9 smartphone with full HD amoled display will be a great hit, most of the leading brands are making their midrange smartphones with 18:9 display, why chase the classic display, AN AFFORDABLE ONEPLUS WITH GREAT FEATURES WILL BE AWESOME
I would buy this phone in an instant if they release it will AMOLED Display and SD660
Dias R, 06 Feb 2018OP is doing serious mistake here by following 16:9 ratio display. This is will obliterate OP 5... moreGo back to your bridge, troll.
16:9 is the industry standard, and it's a better aspect ratio because of the lack of Letter-Boxing.
A 18:9 device actually offers up less screen estate, and has a larger footprint on the phone. Don't believe me? Compare a YouTube video showing on the LG Nexus 5X versus the LG G6. Nexus 5X is slightly smaller phone, but the video is slightly larger....AND you get TWO speakers that actually fire towards your ears.
(The best aspect ratio is Root2, but it's not the Industry Standard).
ZloiYuri, 06 Feb 2018Will they (no) update it like X? For sure they will (no). Waiting for traditional paid hype,... moreOf course they won't. After two or less years, at least. Last time they stopped OPX updates was when Qualcomm decided to stop providing compatible blobs for newer Android version. And OPX series thus far have been using 1 year old flagship chipsets.
With OnePlus I would trust rumors more than Carl Pei. When rumor for OnePlus 5T first spread, Carl Pei denied it too. In less than one month, there was the 5T.
Carl pei is like ... Sir, let me just stop you right there before you spread another rumor.
With the way they dropped support for the Oneplus X, not many people will buy Oneplus X2.
