I almost bought an Iphone last week. it was a sweet deal to sweet that made my throat ache. hehehehe... an sales agent was trying to sell it for me around $ 1000 and the sweet part of the deal was he only needs $110 for downpayment and the rest payable for 6 months. all he needs is ID and proof of my existence. I already knew what the phone was capable of after trying one unit from a friend of mine, and to tell you honestly the phone SUCKS big time! another profiteering sh@t by apple. It should be stripped off by its smartphone category and be brought down to as ordinary "Fashionista" phone. a phone for a tech-dumb... as for me Im sticking with my N-series the undisputed giant in the smartphone category.

apple defendants should concede that iphone fails to compete with current mobile phone makes such as nokia, sonyericsson, samsung and motorola. iphone fails to deliver in terms on features though its touch sensitive screen may be more than impressive, the ability to do a simple mms messaging is a let down, not to mention the unreplaceable battery and the unability to open java applications, which is a must nowadays. hence my support go for eldar, and i hope he can continue reviewing in near future.

I havent seen the article before.Now I had to read it.And i must say I wouldnt buy an Iphone for sure.Dont the Hackers realese that this atack wont be good for Iphone sales figures.

Mobile Review biased? Common guys, MR gives the a fair and thorough review.Though, I don't use a Nokia, Motorola, SE or Samsung I find MR reviews fair and factual relative to other reviewers. Even reviews of smartphones from different platforms by Eldar are quiet objective.
Hope MR comes back sooner, I'm realiy missing the daily news of upcoming devices and the reviews too.

well i dont blame apple for doing this, but you just never know. and as far as i phone is concerned, you can not compare it with other smart phones such as sony and nokia are making, or even samsung.
all i can say is "GET WELL SOON MOBILE-REVIEW"

if mobile review has truly given the facts then i have to agree with it - a mobile phone that does'nt allow java apps to be loaded, nor other apps to be loaded, nor does it allow transfer or storage of docs and pics from pc - isn't worth the cost of material by weight used to make it!

yes i totally agree. i phone can not compete with other smart phones sony and nokia are making, or even samsung. and whats more apple's OS also stinks. apple has no place in todays market.

I hope the have the back up available. To those that MR phone reviews favoured nokia and SE well those reviews arew for free if you don't like them go to another reviewing site, nobody is forcing u too

Fat geeks don't like when smart people don't share their stupid opinions and think that this e-terrorism is ok. Hope that mobile-review will be back soon and honestly I-Phone sucks big time.

Ty i completely agree.That the gsm is a biased site 1st became clear to me when i saw that there is no mention about sam u700 which is a damn good phone.

i am not that sorry, he had what he deserved. He tend to be a phones racist and only have eyes for nokia, or Se, and he try to hind the good stuff from other brands.
is just a matter of fact to see what he wrote on SXG75 review, saying "we can always use one BT GPS, bla, bla, bla" and on the 6110 navigator, the comment is another like "it is very good to have one integrated GPS"
about the iPhone, the fans are very hardcore, and teached him a big lesson. iPhone is one device for nich market, for apple fans. I respect apple, and apple fans, and i can see the iPhone tend to be a good basis for phone tuning, stuff eldar understands nothing. maybe now, he can be a more human person with this heavy attack, and to stop be the phones racist he used to be.

CIF appear in samsung in some not worldwide launched models
at the same time n70/n90/n91 had it too.
still samsung keep QCIF for MOST of their phones, its not who did it first
samsung actually have 10mpx camera phone in korea... but that doesn't matter... cuz its not where to be seen even there.

The whole thing is incredibly lame. The article in question is unsubstantiated and makes no sense (by their definitions nothing would fall into the category of a smartphone), so the reaction is equally rediculous. iPhone is a mobile device, not the Nazi movement. I think it's time some people stepped away from their computers (or smartphones) and got some sun and fresh air.

No, the mainstream phone in Europe is NOKIA (53%) and SAMSUNG (33%) while in the US is MOTOROLA (33%) and SAMSUNG (17%). No SE for that matter.
Again to prove (as a SAMSUNG inclined user) that MR.com is biased towards some manufacturers is when they review Samsung U600. They posted that U600 cannot customize the message tone where in fact it can. Much of SAMSUNG older phones which first introduced the A2DP bluetooth support (2 years ahead than NOKIA, SE, MOTO, LG) was not mentioned on thier reviews and given any importance in fact this is one of the sought after feature now a days. Another feature was the CIF video recording which again is far more advance and first introduced by SAMSUNG (2 years ahead than others) was also not mentioned or given much of an attention. So now, when rivals starting stuffing their phones with these features (take note: just in 2007), MR.com as well as GSM arena is starting making clear explanation on reviews about these features as long as "NOKIA and SE" should have it.
Imagine these two site even give much of a hype about oldr walkman phones without A2DP wireless bluetooth support and they said that "these are the best music phone out there" blah, blah, blah.I was frustrated with my W810 when I see my neighbor with his SAMSUNG X700 playing music without a wire.
Guys, these are only observations and I dare you to observe too, like here in GSM arena. ty.
