No wonder it's been down for so long! But good on Mobile review for sharing how they really felt about the Iphone! They're usually at the top of their game for reviews!
I really hope they get their site back up!

I was wondering what happened to MR. I can't believe these people are so free to do all that. I can understand if you are hacking into a site to get valuable information or even to test your hacking skills or something. But because of someone giving their honest review? and its not even your product. I don't see apple complaining.

Where is the proof?

That's such an easy thing to say that "iPhone hackers" spammed the site and brought it down. Certainly gets the guy a lot of sympathy, but who claims responsibility?

Why couldn't their hosting or Domain Name just have expired? In all honesty, stupid, embarrassing mistakes happen all the time. Things you'd rather wish to cover up...

I'm not sure whether to believe all this.

I honestly think that these wrongdoers should really get a life. It's only a person's opinion, and they are getting all angry about it. And what about them saying that mobile-review.com is unreliable. If they think that it is SO unreliable, then they should not have believed it in the first place to begin with. Losers.

This whole apppe fans thing is just a big BS, i can't even believe GSMarena wrote this.. Guy made it up as an excuse for his sponsors, not to mention he obviously is benefiting from this DdOs because he gets good PR and atracts more attention to his site..It is sad that gsmarena and other respected sources have swallowed that.

i heard that on iphone you can only charge your iphone battery for 300 times. after that u have to send your iphone to the company to replace it with your own cost

MR was great site. I visited it almost every day.
I read some objective comments about iPhone in their site, but look like Applelovers didn't really like it...
I wish success to MR team and hope they'll recover soon.

and one more thing,
to those people that say that apple shouldent be critisized for flaws in the iphone beacuse its their first phone:
Yes its their first phone but I dont give a ... because I just want a good phone and dont do charity to new phone makers. If apple makes a super hype over their first flawd phone and they manage to fool most reporters that it is the awnser to our prayers of a perfect device someone needs to set the story strait. There is no reason what so ever to go easy on apple in a review. I just want the facts.

If the DOS atack on mobile-review was beacuse of iphone then there is no doubt in mind what the motive was and who was behind it.

The article was the first nbiased article I have read about iphone and it clearly reveals what its purpose is (to try to hinder people to emigrate to music mobile phones like the W series of sony ericsson) and that it has left out so many features that is expected of a expensive multimedia phone and is just a empty shell with a few (exelent) features that makes it a nice toy to show of with. Its nothing more than a super expensive ipod video with a phone module as stated in the article. It is not a smart-phone or even a good phone.

Would hackers that spend most of their time on the internet harm a good internet resouece that is loved and respected by most people? Would they tap their hidden worms and trojans and viruses to do that? No!!! there is no respect or glory in that. The only one that had potential gains by this was apple if they could stop a bad review in an early stage in their sales of the iphone.

And it is all about the money...

Shame on whoever is pulling this off!

I've been visiting Mobile Review for some time now and they provide excellent info on cell phones, reviews and industry trends.

Too bad somebody got upset to the point of hacking it.

Shame on them!

-->How in the world did Apple iPhone get involved in this website attack?

I visit MR daily for new reviews. I didn't even see iphone being reviewed there. All I know is that for some days now, MR site was down. Coincidence or what?

The first time the specs of iphone was out, i know its a crap. The manufacturer knew this so they put as much publicity as they can buy and get. And yeah, i was right.

love reading mobile-review. didn't necessarily agree with the iphone review. normally a lotta foresight goes into the reviews but i found the revie on mobile-review to be a bit uninformed and shortsighted. the power of firmware upgrade im my eyes sets the iphone apart form any device. yes firmware updates are getting more and more common. but rarely do we feature upgrades. an iphone made 3 years from now will have the same functionality software wise as the iphone being sold presently. no 3G is an American issue. editing capabilities, copy paste will soon be availble on the iphone. good time to buy AAPL. its a SOLID first attempt. web 2.0 apps will catch on and an SDK can't be ruled out either (though it may force developers to go through iTunes. i say thats a good thing. releasing an SDK at an infant state (of the mobile os X) could have been a disaster security wise.
