these deeds will do nothing other than decreasing the interest of people in apple's new phone...
anybody who went through different articles and reviews about the i-phone knows that there is nothing revolutionary in it other than its screen...
you pay such a big amount to own it and u r not getting a video cam,3g or even a2dp..
i wont be going to buy this phone..
i think their should be some kind of action taken by users of mobile-review.com and all other mobile site users, infact all the other mobile sites should combine together and raise voice against "the attack on mobile-review.com".coz if no action taken may be some day your site can also be doomed by the venom of this deadly snake of hacking(brute force)
insted of cursing hackers we must take action against them
and i know Mobile-review will be back soon
we are with you
we were with you
and we'll always be with you
thanks for a true n unbiased Site
I still don't get it. How in the world did Apple iPhone get involved in this website attack?! I'm sorry. I just can't find the connection between Apple iPhone and the attack on Mobile-Review. Mobile-Review is a nice and resourceful site for those people who want to broaden their knowledge not only on the products, but also about the positioning, marketing strategy of the mobile phone companies etc. GSMArena is a must-read site for consumers like me who want to figure out what's the best handset for them before they buy it. There are many important things consumer should know that were emphasized in the reviews of Mobile Review that's not even mentioned in other mobile phone review sites like GSMArena. An example is the two variants of N91: "N91-1" & "N91-5" which created confusion and regret in the part of consumers because many websites did not even care to mention about that except of course, Mobile Review & Mobique.com.
I wrote it on Eldar's blog too but MR is a great site with quality news, solid reviews and highly knowledgeable Community. I hope they review MR quickly. we love you MR and Eldar
I read the review and while I too find the iPhone a totally flawed device which is not worthy to be called either a smart phone OR a multimedia phone, it was a tad bias.
Let's face it, this is Apples first ever mobile phone. How many companies - when they released their first mobile - produced the perfect phone? None. It has taken them nigh on 20 years to start getting it "right". So why is everyone expecting Apple to produce perfection on their first ever attempt?
Apple might be a bit overzealous to call the iPhone a "multimedia" device, but then they know the millions of drones out their who are complete slaves to their marketing machine will lap it up. Consumers are stupid. They are naive. They do not look outside of the box (no pun intended).
Mobile Review quite rightly pointed out that the iPhone is inferior to equivalent products currently on the market. They rightly stated that the iPod itself is INFERIOR to other MP3 players out there, but the awe and buzz of Apple's products blinds consumers into stupidity; they do not even consider alternatives.
For example, the N95 might look like an ugly rock, but it can do everything the iPhone can do about a million times better.
The Creative Vision M kicks 10-tonne of sh!t out of the equivalent iPod in not only sound playback quality, but also video and screen quality.
The sooner consumers wake up and realise that billion dollar marketing campaigns are there to blind and steal the money out of their wallets, the better.
Brand loyalty is about as bad financially backing a mugger...
Back to Mobile Review - how do they know that by doing an "unsavoury" review of the iPhone, hackers have targeted them just for that? Or has one of the hackers had a moment of clarity and decided to phone up Mr Editor of Mobile Review and tell him?
The editor himself said that they could not trace the source of the attack. So how did he know what the attack was about or in relation to?
Or is this just further advertising for the iPhone?
I was trying to visit Mobile-review.com for the Past 5 days but didn't knew what had happened. But thanks to my other favorite site GSMArena.com I am totally shocked to know what has happened. The kind of hype and mania that was created before the launch of iPhone it can be expected. And so people at Nokia, SE and Motorola should be ready for attacks from such mindless people for launching competition for iPhone. I guess from now there is no need of reviews since such nonsense attacks from a group of idiots who can't digest the flaws of a simple communicating device which has just evolved over last few years. I would like to conclude here that thanks to Mobile Review and GSMArena for helping me in having an Nokia 3250 which despite it flaws and all the flak it got I am really happy that before purchase I got to know it all. And to all iPhones people who did this act, Your device is really good thing that had a lot of capabilities and has shown a new direction to mobile world BUT NOTHING ON THIS EARTH IS PERFECT!! AND THE COMMENTS BY THE EXPERTS AND CRITICS WILL ONLY MAKE IT CLOSE TO PERFECTION. However if all you people want to destroy such a mobile revolution continue your acts of desparation.
GSMarena and Mobile-Review are my favourite sites, the first two I open every morning. It is disgusting what they are doing to Mobile-Review. 'Regular' hackers don't usually target sites like these, so they must have been payed to do it... OR it was done by 'some well known' company.
I understand fully how people can be loyal to a brand/team/people/or whatever its showing appreciation, but its trully saddening when that loyalty crosses over to its ugly cousin fundemantalism. Eldar wasn't even bashing the iphone he just states that its a nice pce of tech, but not the revolution the hype and apple would have you believe, if anything he's doing it for our benefit! By critiquing tech and being unbiased in so he keeps us informed an clearheded and the companies behind the tech on there toes so that they wont sell us crap. How does bombing his site with request prove the iphone superior? And wheres apple in all of this shouldnt they take there responsibilty and condemm the act?! This is bordeline terrorism!
this is one of the few sites that I visit on daily basis, when I buy a phone Eldars opinion is first on my list. pitty that some people trying to bring freedom of reviewing in question.
I always visit GSMarena and Mobile-Review. Now I can't visit one of them. This brutal attack must have been cursed a million times.
Maybe instead of reviewing Apple products they should use them instead ... lol.
No wonder I couldnt get on MR for so many days. I visit MR daily religiously.
This kinda attack is totally unethical !!!
Fanatism or dirty enterprise moves? That's the question... At least now I know why I can't enter to the site and their forums since days ago.
We hope we'll resolve this probles asap... And bring nice articles and reviews for our visitors. I know we are stronger than people who organized this attack!
Eldar, don't feel upset, everything will be fine!
I don't deny that Eldar's reviews are a wee bit biased towards SE and against Nokia and other brands, but hey, MR is a fantastic site, and the forum is just so bubbly and alive. One of my most favourite mobile sites just went down like that.
oh, that's why i couldn't visit one of my favourite websites about phones (except gsmarena, certainly^^). poor mobile-review! bad hackers! iPhone isn't a cool phone, oh no. i wanted it but after reading this mobile-review's article i decided to not buy it. and after this attack? i will even put my iPod into the nearest trash bin!
