CJha, 12 Feb 2018True, but active models are available with only one carrier and only in US, also their screen ... more More than one US carrier sell Active models now. If you want to get one pre owned (at lower costs no less) go to Amazon.com or EBay.com.
Samsung must set at least minimum 3500mah battery in S8 or S9 rather than keeping it from 3000
Screen ratio instead of mazid back to something very bad will wait galaxy s10
I just want it flat, 12 Feb 2018Sammy just give me the option of flat screen pls. I hate these round reflective edges.....S8 Active ...and A8 but that's a cheaper phone
Handy, 12 Feb 2018Agreed with all of that, and get rid of the silly rounded corners tooF.cking edge screen and 18:9 reatio...
Pdf and e book reading is cumbersome....
Flat and 16:9 aspect ratio is great.
My s8 plus is in complete rest.
Now using xiaomi mi max 2....6.44 inch flat 16:9 asr
I have an S8 Active and love it -- and I'm not "active". Flat screen, slightly more bezels, but doesn't break on the first drop so it doesn't require a case and it has a bigger battery. I might have held off for an S9 if I thought the Active version wouldn't take an extra 6 months.
Convex screen is no good. If convex is great, why Samsung makes their curve tv concave
I just want it flat, 12 Feb 2018Sammy just give me the option of flat screen pls. I hate these round reflective edgesIt is there already for S8 . its called S8 Active ..and has even better battery at 4000mah.
U need to wait for S9 active.
Sammy just give me the option of flat screen pls. I hate these round reflective edges
There is nothing to compare my mother in law looks like miss world compared to these two :-)
I have stopped trusting GSMA StB ratios....
In this article the S8+'s has 87.5%, while in the specs page it is shown as 84%.....
How can one believe a self-contradicting website?!
Trump Fan 1980, 12 Feb 2018 Remember: the Active models have yet to have the decidedly lame curves.True, but active models are available with only one carrier and only in US, also their screen protection is bad, since it uses a shatter-proof screen which makes it much more susceptible to scratches. I live in Germany and there is no way I could get an Active model here, I would have definitely bought one if I could.
Thin bezels are good, but they should stop with this "edge screen" nonsense. It doesn't make any sense, there is hardly any curve to make a difference in usability, but the curve is enough that we cannot use a screen protector properly. Be done with this stupid "edge screen" Samsung and make it foldable or just plain flat. I miss the flat versions of the flagships from before S8.
I don't care about design anymore. I've used Sony Z3 - Samsung S6 Edge - HTC One M9 - iPhone 7 - many others. Performance is more important for me.
