What's with the obssession with bezel-less displays? Some people hate the edge screen, some like it. In a practical sense, the edge screen serves no purpose and picks up accidental touches. The extra bit of side bezel allows you to pick up the phone without registering any accidental touches. I'm a practical person and think it's good that Samsung is not totally overlooking practicality for aesthetics.

I'm actually glad to see this topic. The more I see the S9, the more I've begun to think that the bezels are to grow larger. In my opinion, the S9 looks a LG G6/G6 +. I wonder what the finalized G6 successor will look like (?) .

It definitely won't look like that... this is a 2D render. You'd see something similar from the S8 in a flat render. Well... 2 weeks to know for sure.

Oooh Amsung says S9 will be "Reimagining the camera" Coool story brah, but its not all about the camera. You increase the bezel to make it look like a mid-ranger from 2017, and charge $100 more than S8... DJ Koh is below average intelligence

Samsung loves to BS their customers. In january 2013 tbey showcased a flexible phone that looked awesome. Now this. An increase in bezel while Xiaomi makes almost bezelless phones. Wow. Samsung are liars.

2017: Samsung have the thinnest bezel you should buy this
2018: too thin bezel are dumb Samsung bumped their size and you should buy this
Meanwhile other phone makers always have the wrong size bezel according to gsmarena

The difference is probably because of the smaller curvature of the screen, so no big deal.
But a phone without any bezel, just like a piece of glass would be great, and will probably come sooner than expected.

I hope that Samsung just reduced the edge. The edges were really annoying, especially as now there is no non-edge variant.

I see alot of complaints about s8 accidental touches. Thats probably why they changed it.

The only good phones from samsung are the Note series. For any other phone better look at LG, Sony, Nokia, HTV, Motorola, Huawei, BlackBerry etc. I have a feeling that the S9 will not sell as well as the S8 did.

Eh, I don't find this a big deal because Samsung is one of the OEMs when it comes to best Screen to body ratio on smartphones.
