LG superfan, 08 Feb 2018No huawei? They were supposed to be beta testers surprised they're not on the list and samsung... moreHuawei is a 5G equipment maker. They do not need Qualcomm's tech. They are already running 5G field tests in countries like Canada. Likewise, Intel is not on the list because they make their own modems. Samsung is there because of the bi-processor thing, while also developping their own modem for their Exynos.

Did they think of the energy consumption for making this alive? It is more like a race to drain out our resources. I still use 3G in my phone and it does what it is supposed to.

It means comeback of intelligent glasses. Also always on cameras, location and AI with other apps running simultaneously wont be good for battery, so streamed computing will probably pave the way to phones. Not that it will be for free, but cannot wait to have such device.

My country already tested 5G with Huawei yesterday and speeds were around 1.5Gbps. Nokia tested some gaming with 5G in Finland to today or this week.
