Samsung’s 2015 flagships started with 2014 android, and getting 2017 android is a step in the right direction.

Apple supports their devices longer than any other smartphone manufacturer, a 4.5 year old iPhone 5S got update to the latest iOS version the same day as brand new iPhone 8.

They can pull this off, and if they do, it will be good news. I'm waiting for my S7 Edge to get Oreo, but the current state of smartphones now is that they all do everything that we wanted them to do 5 years ago. Cameras are producing amazing photos, apps and games are now plentiful and running perfectly, our devices are now awesome multimedia devices. For the first time i'm looking at the upcoming phones and thinking I don't need to upgrade after 2 years, as they don't offer much more.

So according to AnTuTu, Samsung is the most copied brand in the smartphone market.
If this 3-year support comes true, will they try to copy this as well?

So bas... moreIf there’s metal detector, I call you Apple detector. But the difference between you and the metal detector is that you have failed on me. I’m not an Apple fan or anything, but you accusation is just funny as Samsung’s speed of releasing updates.

I already explained why most features aren’t needed by all. Samsung users don’t use 1/2 the features pre-installed on their phones. As we all know, anything that isn’t used and serves no purpose and benefit in reality is either a gimmick or bloatware; Samsung is the king of both.
We need future updates because some apps don’t work on older versions of Android, hence why we ask for more updates. If they don’t want to release updates, then they have to make sure that installing custom ROMs on their devices is as easy as I am giving up to Samsung in regards to updates.
Stock Android is super easy and basic to use, just like iOS. Vanilla Android is the way Google wanted us to use Android, be it having a lot of features or not.

Here’s the thing, if you don’t need the fastest update, if you don’t need the most optimized software experience, if you don’t need apps that don’t run on older versions of Android, if you want pure complication in life, if you want to get abandoned in 2 years, no doubt is Samsung your best choice,

Samsung’s twin brother, LG, also released Oreo for the V30 a month earlier than Samsung, yet as we all know, LG!s software things are mostly inspired from Samsung, so it means to say that LG’s software is just as heavy as Samsung’s.
Do we hear any problems with Oreo on the V30? I doubt you could find one.
You have to take into consideration, we’re now getting near 6 months since the release of Oreo and Samsung hasn’t even pushed this update to most of their flagships, let alone mid rangers.
