I have the Mi Mix 2 and don't have any issues with the bottom camera on video calls. I don't take selfies or use Snapchat so don't really care how they work with the camera placement.
But I would much rather have super thin top and/or bottom bezels than a notch anywhere that intrudes on the screen. I don't like this notch so I'll be keeping my Mix 2 until the Mix 3 comes out. Besides that, Lei Jun the Xiaomi boss said they'd never do any kind of notch. I hope he hasn't changed his mind.

I have made a picture of my self as a selfie maybe only one time and i have 4 phones that have the selfie camera. Bu i still use video calls with my friends as i dont have webcam or a laptop.

I really was looking forward for Sharp to release replacement for their ageing AQUOS Crystal range which I am still using at the moment since 2014... Been waiting ever since...
When the edgeless and bezelless trend picked up pace after XiaoMi revived the design in 2016, which was somehow based on an AQUOS model from 2015, I was wondering if Sharp would reappear... They did, but their new models with the camera stuck in the middle and their latest which followed a notch like the iPhone is a big slap on the head...
This new XiaoMi model was what I have hoped Sharp would have done for their new AQUOS lineup in terms of design... But nope, 4 years on, they screw up big time... I'm coming for you XiaoMi, my 4 years old AQUOS phones are really dying and being stuck at Android 4.4 or 5 for years is no fun...

This phone got a front camera, people. The right upper corner, it is small, but I think that's the front facing camera.
