My screen works fine, no touch issues, though some dust got trapped under the screen which annoys me. furthermore it's a great phone, no complaints, very responsive, very solid, wonderfull resolution.
hy everyone.first i want to inform that issue with touchscreen is 100% real.i bought this phone two weeks ago and after first week began to have problem with touchscreen(when you try to unlock from sleep mode, when you use back touch, and a lots of situations)for those who don't belive this check other's site like xda developer or youtube and you will see that i'm right. i hope that htc will take this problem serious and fix'it otherwise i...goodbye htc and hy samsung galaxy s2
[deleted post]Well, you are one of the lucky ones then. I had this problems from the second day after I bought it. A month after I logged the support call with HTC about this, still no fix, still no ideea why it happens and still having the issue
This sounds like the same issue I had with the HTC Hero. The screen was ultimately replaced. No issues thereafter.
after a really good start now htc is not a very good android phone!
i have xperia arc
a fast responsible phone with perfect design and camera and also excellent display quality and loudspeaker and etc
almost perfect phone(if arc has dual core processor then i would say this is a perfect one)
in 2010 htc was my favorite brand but now my favorite phone brand is SE!
AnonD-9017, 03 Aug 2011You want a flagship phone and want it to behave as a falgship phone? Do as I did: Buy an SE AR... moreArc have the specs as if it was last years flagship, not this year, but it still cost almost as much as todays most expensive flagships!
got this phone on pre-order ..suffering from major problems ....email sync keeps failing have to constantly re-start the phone ....facebook syc once again problems ther have to re-start....wifi...network strength big problems too and touchscreen also problems in that area...sent it off for repair.....didnt do nothing still suffering from the same problems!!!!!!!!.
You want a flagship phone and want it to behave as a falgship phone? Do as I did: Buy an SE ARC (or an Iphone for that matter) and you will be fine.
Think if this were a car, if you want a flagship car and want it to properly behave as one, what will you buy? Mercedes, BMW or Rolls-Royce. Nothing more.
You simply can't buy a Hyundai or a Chevrolet and expect it to feel as proper a flagship car (even if it looks as cost as one). Same principle here.
Htc does some very nice phones but maybe they are not ready yet for a true «top of the range, flagship» phone.
besos, 03 Aug 2011How is that they get this issue a few times and all of a sudden its an ISSUE? People have been... moreThe fact it is not reported here FIRST and comes from distilled info from another website that is regarded as trustworthy shouldn't have put you on this. GSMArena is just reporting the facts. If a reported issue on a relatively new handset becomes a frequently returning issue it's definitely worth reporting, it's even worth reporting it at the risk of not being entirely true, to ensure the consumer is at least informed properly on the risks of buying said device.
In the end we are all consumers, right? Your comment could only backfire on yourself...
Main Event, 03 Aug 2011Mines working perfectly fine....this phone is for a firm touch not a delicate touch...man ur t... more" Man ur touch up " - capacitive units should respond to even the slightest note of a finger, there shouldn't actually be applied pressure.
Not a single capacitive unit has needed abundant pressure to register movement.
BS argument from both you, and HTC.
Main Event, 03 Aug 2011Mines working perfectly fine....this phone is for a firm touch not a delicate touch...man ur t... moreIt's a capacative screen, not resistive.
The screen was fine for 3-4 days for me then started to exhibit the issues described. I've had 2 with the same problem and am awaiting a 3rd replacement.
Good for you if your screen is ok, you are lucky but that doesn't mean the problem isn't there on other's devices.
I had that problem after a OTA about a week after buying the phone. But then it was good again... works fine now
Thank you very much for this article. HTC will not be able to ignore and keep quiet about this for much longer.
take a look at android market on each app comments..most of the complaints are came from htc users...
AnonD-16320, 03 Aug 2011I've been using the htc sensation for almost 2 months now and i agreed that there were some is... moreseems my touch pro 2 is due for an upgrade in August....same prob wid da touch screen
HTC always had quality problems in my book. I had the Hermes (sent back twice), and the Raphael (sent back once). I will never by an HTC phone again, which is a shame because I liked the Sense software. My Samsung SGS has been doing quite nicely, however.
Had mine 2 weeks. Had 2 seperate occasions lasting hours where the phone barely registers my touch making it slow and unresponsive. Regardless of how hard you press. Called HTC who denied any knowledge of this problem so I suggested they google it! Just not good enough for the 2nd highest spec-ed phone in the world! Must admit when its normal I love it. Sort it out HTC or I will swapping for the galaxy
